I Won't Ever Let You Go

Chapter 1

I would've never thought that something was wrong, especially not something as bad as this.
She was fine that night, she had fun watching her brother play football with me. She acted tired but she had been busy all week.
I wish I would've questioned her or taken her to the doctor sooner but I didn't.
I remember that night just like it was yesterday.
We were at the homecoming football game. Courtney had a cold so she stayed home and Jude was at college so it was just me and Brea watching Phoenix play football.
They were 7-0 in the season and that game brought them to 8-0 with a score of 62 to 24.

"Hey Shortie." Phoenix said playfully pushing Brea.
"You ain't much taller than me doofus." She said in a silly tone. "Good job out there tonight." She said laughing.
"Thanks." He replied giving her a hug. "Do you wanna come to the bonfire with me?"
His friends always hung out after the game and I didn't mind that as long as he knew my rules and respected them.
"I'll think I'll go home with daddy." Was her reply.
"Ok love you." He said.
"Love you too P."
"Love you dad." He added giving me a hug before running off to catch the others.
"Why didn't you want to go? Is everything ok?" I asked putting my arm around Brea as we walked to the car.
"I'm just a little tired."
"Alright."
I opened the door and let her get in the car before going to the driver side and getting in.
She fell asleep before we even got off campus. The only noise was the radio playing softly in the background.
When I pulled into the driveway I reached over and grabbed her hand.
"We're home baby." I said waking her up.
We both got out of the car and went inside. She went to bed within thirty minutes.
It was strange, normally she's up past midnight on Fridays. I just figured that she had a long day or was just tired from the week.

Hello again! Sorry for the short chapter again, it might take a couple chapters before the chapters become more interesting, and longer. I might try to update every day, if not, every other day.
