I Won't Ever Let You Go

Chapter 3

The next morning I decided to let Brea sleep in and I stayed home from church to take care of her.
It's about 10:30 now. Court and Phoenix left about an hour ago.
I've been reading the Bible but I sat in Breannas room just incase she needs me.
"Daddy?" She says softly as she turns on her side to face me.
"What's wrong princess?" I ask kneeling down to her level.
"I'm sorry about this morning."
"No sweetheart, it's fine. Don't worry about it, ok?"
"Ok."
"Do you feel like eating something so you can take some medicine?" I ask rubbing her arm.
"Yeah."
"Ok what would you like? I'll make anything."
"Can I have some bacon and eggs?"
"Sure sweetie, is that all?"
"Yeah."
"Ok, I'll bring it up when it's ready. After breakfast you'll need to get ready so I can take you to the doctor."
"Ok."
I went downstairs and fixed our breakfast then I took it upstairs and we are together.
When we were done we both started getting ready.

We got back from the doctor around 3.
"Sweetie, go on up to bed, you need to rest." I said as we walked through to door. She was worn out even though we hadn't done much today.
"What did the doctor say?" Courtney asked as walked into the kitchen.
"They said it's just a nasty virus."
"That's not too bad then. Where is she?"
"She went to bed, she's so worn out."
"What are we going to do when we both have to work tomorrow?"
"I'll call Joel and explain everything, he'll understand and let me stay with her."
"Ok, well here is your lunch." She said handing me a plate of food. "I didn't know how long you'd be so we already ate. Sorry."
"Don't worry about it." I replied.
Courtney stayed and talked with me while I ate lunch and then she put my dishes away while I went to check on Brea.
