I woke up a 8 to my alarm screaming in my ear. Courtney took care of Brea last night so luckily I got a full nights rest.
I got up and took a shower, got dressed, and fixed my hair before going downstairs to eat breakfast.
I had just finished eating when I heard the doorbell ring.
I quickly ran to the door and answered it.
"Hey mom, come on in."
"How are you doing today Luke?"
"I'm pretty good, and you?"
"I'm doing great."
"Would you like some breakfast? I can make you something."
"I'm good sweetie, thanks though."
"Ok well if you want something later just help yourself to anything. Brea probably won't want any breakfast, but there is some chicken soup in the fridge if she wants that. Here is the list of medication she'll need to take. And I think that should be everything."
"Ok sounds good."
"I'm going to run upstairs and grab my things then I've gotta head to work." I said before going upstairs.
I grabbed my things and then went to check on Breanna.
"Hey princess grandma is here, and I've gotta go. I love you." I said giving her a hug.
"I love you too daddy."
"If you need just call me. I'll come home on my lunch break. Take it easy today."
"I will. Have fun at work." She replied as I kissed her forehead.
Jude was still asleep so I didn't bother him. I ran downstairs and said bye to mom before I left.Work went pretty good this morning considering I have been gone for almost 3 weeks.
I went home for my lunch break like I promised.
When I got there mom told me that Brea was still in bed. She got up earlier but she wasn't feeling well so she went back to bed.
I ate a sandwich and some chips before going upstairs to check on Breanna. I fixed her a bowl of chicken soup and took it to her.
"Hey baby how are you feeling?" I asked setting on the edge of her bed.
"Tired."
"Can you eat some chicken soup and take your medicine for me?" I asked stroking her hair.
"Yeah."
"Here you got sweet girl." I said handing her the soup and her medicine.
I stayed with her while she ate but then I had to go back to work. I hated leaving her and I wouldn't have but I knew bills would be piling up soon so I had to work. She was being so strong through this, and I really admired that about her. She feels horrible but I hardly hear he utter a complaint about it.
