Chapter 9 ~ Ringing in the Bells

Evan POV

It had been a few days since Cad and I made love. We were at the doctor's office after she had been complaining about a little pain in her stomach. I had hoped our little love session the other night wasn't the cause. We were sitting in the exam room when the doctor came in.

"I have examined and ran some tests. Everything is fine. Your uterus is growing with those two munchkins inside. It's normal especially with two babies growing in the inside," Dr. Plaissance said.

I could see relief on Cad's face. She had been so worried. I took a deep breathe because I was hoping everything was okay.

"In about three weeks we should be able to tell the sex of the babies, but only if you want to know," the doctor said.

I saw excitement in Cad's eyes as she looked at me.

"Only if you want to know?" I said looking at her.

"Of course I want to know, don't you?"

"As long as they are healthy and you are fine then I'm gained."

"Well it's settled. When you come back back for your appointment then we shall see. As far as the pain goes, just eat smaller portions, drink more water and take care of yourself and everything should be fine. The injections haven't cause any issues but I don't want you exercising," Dr. Plaissance said.

We said our goodbyes and headed out to lunch. We ordered and she held my hand across the table.

"So what time are we leaving tomorrow?" She asked.

"The flight leaves around ten," I said smiling from ear to ear. I had the weekend planned and we were finally getting married. Her sisters, Emily, my parents, along Lilly and Marci would be there. Although we said it would just be us, I wanted her to feel comfortable.

We were flying to the Bahamas and everything was arranged. Lacey out families and I had been planning this for the past two weeks. There was a little chapel right by the sea and the ceremony would be performed right at sunset. Once the babies were born we would do it big in Atlanta.

"I can't wait. Do you think everyone is going to be upset? I mean my sisters and your family are going to flip."

"I think they will understand. They know how much we love each other so I'm not worried."

"Your mother is going to hate me," she said.

"My mother loves you. She is so excited about the twins that she has already converted a bedroom for them."

"If you say so, but if she finds out we did this behind her back, I'm throwing you under the bus. I will tell her it was all your idea and that you made me do it," she said trying to be serious.

"What can she do? Spank me?"

"She might, but I can," she said wiggling her eyebrows.

"You have a really dirty mind you know that," I said rubbing her on the top of her hand.

"Well hold that thought I have to potty. Can you get me another glass of water?" She said getting up.

"Okay," I said.

Cadence POV

"Cadence, Cadence!!" I heard someone calling out my name.

All I saw was blonde hair running towards me.

"Cadence it's me Tara," I heard her say. She ran up to me and gave me a hug.

"Oh my you have gotten so big. How are you? Who are you with?" I said looking all around.
