Xayvion Taylor,
I looked at the cake Bryce was eating and couldn't help but wonder what happened to my birthday cake.
"What happened to the cake?" I asked as she ate her cake.
"Next week the bakery was backed up so I got it for next week."
"You did that shit purposely." I said looking at her.
She started laughing and I just looked at her because ain't shit funny.
"I really didn't." She said going back to her cake.
I just looked at her ain't she ate the rest of her cake.
"yeti tinishi liji layi ye'inē newi." -Where is mine at little girl.-
Living with her non-English speaking Grammy is very weird because I always feel like she talking shit about a nigga.
"mak'ezik'ezha." -refrigerator.-
Her Grammy nodded her head and wakes to the fridge.
"She wanted to know where her cake was at." Bryce said taking notice of my confused face.
"Okay." I as her Grammy walked past me. "Why she don't like me?"
"Oh Grammy does like you. She just doesn't like the fact we are not married and is living together and sharing a room."
"Okay but why she walked looking me up and down and walking passed me like I don't exist."
"That's just Grammy. I'm sure she likes you."
By the way she said that I already knew she didn't believe her damn self that her Grammy like my ass.
"You don't even believe that shit." I said looking at her as she put her dishes in the dishwasher.
"I do believe it Simba. I just feel like she has to get to know you more." She said turning around.
"What bad impression did I put on her?"
I did nothing to her old ass. A nigga be respectful and I even took all meat out the house because she is a vegan. Do you know how hard it was for me to take my bacon to my momma house? That is my favorite fucking food.
"Just give her some time to warm up to you Simba." Bry said wrapping her arms around my neck.
"I think she dislike me because I don't speak Amharic."
"What no, that's not the reason. Maybe because your so..."She stopped mid sentence when she realized what she was about to say.
"Because I'm so what?" I asked wanting her to finish.
"I think Dula crying." She said trying to walk off but I grabbed her.
"Nice try Dula ain't here." I said pulling her back.
"I mean she might not like you because you're an American and she feel like all American men do is sexualize women."
