I looked at rings with Momma and Z.

"I was thinking about this one." I said pointing to a ring I had my eye on for a while.

"That looks like her engagement ring." Momma said before walking off.

After three hours we finally choose a ring, yes I said three hours.

"Look at this." Z said passing me his phone.

It was a video on a woman dancing in a chair but then the chair broke.

"People do the dumbest things." I said as I pressed the phone back.

"What you doing for the rest of the day?"

"Chillin' with y'all at grandma and grandpa house."

"What about Bryce?"

"We need some space from each other."

"What you do?" Momma asked as I drove towards my grandparents house.

"I didn't do anything. We just decided that we are up under each other so much that we need a break sometimes. All healthy relationship involves a great balance."

"That is true." Momma said agreeing with my statement.

Once we arrived at Grandma and Grandpa house and regretted it already when I seen Aunt Dee get out her car.

"Oh lord." Z said as momma got out the car. "Aye I got twenty on Aunt Dee."

"Momma will kill Aunt Dee."

"Nigga I know, I'm talking about which one gone bring up Christmas dinner first."

"I'm out my twenty in momma, she so petty."

"I'm about to be twenty dollars richer." Z said getting out the car.

I got out as well and locked the doors. I walked into grandma house right behind Z.

"Hey baby." Grandma said hugging me and Z.

"Hey grandma."

"I can't believe you getting married." She said hugging me again. "My grand baby growing up."

"You getting married?" Aunt Dee asked looking at me. "You gone marry that girl." She said turning her nose up.

"Get ya ass beat Dee. That's what I want you do."

"Pay up." I whispered to Z holding my hand out.

"This ain't right." He said passing me the twenty."

"Where is Bry?" Grandpaw asked walking from his man cave."

"With Dream and Olivia."

"Ty and Danny girls?" Grandma asked.

"Yep."

"They bad influences on her little innocent self." Grandma said shaking her head.

"I know right."

"I don't see why you didn't stay with Love. She was respectable, responsible, and all around just a great person."
