Jade's POV

I slowly opened my eyes to see a lamp and a bedside clock with my glasses. I shot up. "Where am I...?" I mumbled, rubbing my head. I looked over to see Jack on a little couch.
"Morning." he smiled innocently.
"W-wasn't I driving?"  My voice was low and crackly from just waking up.  He rubbed the back of his head and neck "Aha yeah I woke up to sorta see that you had fallen asleep.. well I mean you remembered to pull over which is good. I felt bad so I drove to the nearest hotel and brought you to the bed so you could sleep." He gave me a big smile to be funny.
"Where are we?" I pulled out my phone to check the Snapchat filters.

"The tip of Maine, we should be there soon." I looked at myself in the camera. My collar bones poked out from my white tank top, my emerald eyes darker than usual under my messy eyebrows. "Wow I should shower." Jack nodded as I looked up. "I did last night we have time it's only 9:34 we can leave at 11:00 or before if you're ready."  I sniffed in pushing my nose "Alright." I pushed myself off the bed and searched for my phone charger and plugged in my phone, as I grabbed some clothes from my carry on Jack had brought in. I grabbed a black bra, a neon pink shirt that said 'pink' in black across the chest, and black leggings. I walked into the bathroom  and looked in the mirror. My curly hair was greasy and stringy like a broom on my head, my glasses were smudged and my eye bags were visible. "Wow I really need this shower." I chuckled putting my clothes on the counter. I took off my clothes and turned on the shower. I sat on the toilet and did my business while waiting for the shower to heat up.

I stepped in and let the warm water hit my chest and run down my back. I shivered at the sudden temperature change. I grabbed the motel soap which I loved, and graciously lathered it on my body and washed it off, throwing my head under the water.
I lathered my hair in shampoo and washed it out, adding conditioner and letting it sit in for about five minutes.

Once I washed out the conditioner I turned off the tap and stepped out, shivering again. I dried off with the hotel towel and scrunched my curls a few time so I could dry them at least a little bit. I pulled up my black with white spots and pink lace thong and pulled it up, then I pulled up my leggings and clipped my bra throwing my shirt on. It fell off one of my shoulders and I looked in the mirror. "Cute," I said in a high voice, throwing on my glasses.

I walk out of the bathroom and checked my phone.
"83% nice," I whisper while unplugging it and throwing the charger in my carry on with my clothes from yesterday. I turn to Jack, seeing him pack his carry on. "Ready?" I ask
"Ready," He replies. "Here are the keys I'll drive, just turn it on I'll be right out ok? I just gotta return the room key." I nodded as he handed me the key and walked out the door. "I parked outside that exit." He pointed to the red exit sign to the left down the hall. I walked that way and saw our car. I threw my bag in the back and grabbed curl solution behind the seat. I poured some in my hand and scrunched it in my hair so it wouldn't frizz so bad.

I was caught off guard when the door opened and Jack jumped in. He was wearing black sweats with a white stripe and a red T-shirt. He ruffled his hair and turned on the radio.

Closer came on by Halsey and the Chainsmokers as we pulled out and I got excited.

As the chorus approached I started to sing "SO BABY PULL ME CLOSER IN THE BACK SEAT OF YOUR BOULDER." Jack giggled and turned up the radio. I started jumping up and down while singing the song.

I smiled while looking out the window watching as the sun hit the asphalt, warming my skin through the glass, knowing that our first journey has almost come to an end. And were almost there.
