Authors Note: Ok so, I was doing this story but somebody hacked into my account and deleted my first 2 chapters so now I have to start all over again, weepee (notice the sarcasm) but on a happier note thank you so much for reading!! Please Vote, Comment, and Fan!! I was just a regular girl; my worst things were a bad grade on a test or a zit. I lived in Hawaii and am sixteen. My name is Vanessa and I thought I was normal, until now."Vanessa, Natalie, we need to talk to you!" my mom shouted from our house. Natalie, my sister, and I were playing on the beach in front of our house. We live in Hawaii on a pretty small island. There is a school and a town and stuff but it is pretty teeny.
"Coming!!!" I shouted, walking up the beach. It was the afternoon and it was perfectly sunny. I love it here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. My sister Natalie was 13, and in the eighth grade while I was in tenth.
When Natalie and I dried off and went inside we found our parents sitting on the couch, looking nervous. "We have something to talk to you guys about," my mom said.
"It's not about my math test is it?" I blurted out of nervousness.
"What math test?" My mom asked raising an eyebrow.
"Uhhhh, nothing?"
"Anyways," my dad said, trying to get us back to the big thing they were supposed to tell us. "I got a promotion." I started to smile. "But we have to move to Los Angeles"
"But we are going to miss you," I said. "Wait; did you say we?" I asked, not believing what I was hearing.
"Yes, we are all moving To L.A," my mom said.
I was moving away from my home, the place I grew up in, all because of a stupid job? "I am not moving," I stated.
"Yes you are, we all are" my mom said in a strict tone. "Now, pack your stuff, we are leaving in two days."
"This is bullshit," I replied angrily as I got up and started walking to the door.
"Where are you going?" My dad asked.
"Anywhere else than here." I opened the door and walked out. I heard them calling my name but I didn't care, I just wanted to get as far away from them as possible. I started running into the tropical forest near my house. It was deserted, just what I needed. I still had to get farther away. I ran until I couldn't run anymore. I must have been running for about ten minutes. I rested against a tall tree.
The forest was a bright green. I loved it here; I can't believe I have to let it all go. I had never been this far into the forest before. I turned around and there I saw it. The Bay.
It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The water was a bright blue and the sand was white. Best part of all, no people. I hate tourists. I walked down to the bay, there was nothing there. Perfect. Luckily, I still had my bikini on so I waded into the water. It was the perfect temperature.
