Okay everyone, because I got such sweet comments of people wanting me to update I have decided to do another chapter continuing from where I left off in chapter five of A Court of Mist and Fury! If you guys still like it, I will from then on do every other chapter in his point of view! Yes, I will be continuing A Court of Fire and Lies, so that means two updates. But I will have the next chapter in ACOFAL up tomorrow, and will be updating through the weekend!!

CHAPTER 6

I walked to the end of the hall leaving her behind me to the stairway she raced up.

I walk over to a table and begin to pour myself a drink as I hear Mor come up behind me and say, "So that went well." 

"It could've been worse." I say taking a sip of the Carmel colored liquid in my glass.

"Well Amren and Cassian were quite amused." She says. I smile a little bit, "And you?"

"Maybe." She says and sits down on a sofa.

"Why'd you take her here?" She asks. I was wondering myself. I didn't take her to Velaris, I want to, but she doesn't trust me and I don't even know that if when she goes back to the Spring Court if she might spill her guts of everything she's seeb. Tamlin probably wants to know if I have any secrets. It's probably the only reason Tamlin let her go with me so that he would know anything about my Court. So I couldn't, I would but I can't. It may always remain this way.

"I took her here because she's not ready to see it. I want her next to me as a friend when I take her there." I say and move towards the fireplace, the smell of jasmine hovering in the air. 

"You talk softly about her, did you know that?" She says and I'm somewhat taken aback by it.

"Do I?" I say, Mor may know I'm mated with her but I want it to stay that way. Words spread fast in Prythian, that and darkness

Time seems to pass so much faster with her under my roof. It's strange knowing I could walk into her bedroom and see her there.

　 I walk past open windows to my bedroom. And on the way there, I take the long way and pass her door. I don't have to, but I want to. The door comes into view and I pause at it for a moment. And my breath catches in my throat when I hear sobs. My jaw clenches and fist tightens. The sound of her gasping for breath tears my insides apart. The warm air suddenly feeling frozen, a sick feeling forming in my stomach. 

From the sounds that follow me down the hall, I wonder just how numb to the world she is.

My bedroom is completely dark as I stumble towards it slipping out of my shirt and pants.
