** HYEJIN'S POV **
"What?! You're going where?!!" I half-shouted to Sungjae.
"Babe. Calm down. I know, it's unexpected. But the company wants me to be there for a month." He held my hand trying to calm me down while we are sitting on the sofa.
He came early in the morning to our house just to tell me this?! How dare he?!
"You can't just expect me to calm down, Sungjae! Our wedding will be next month and you'll be leaving for France in a month. Are you kidding me?!"
"I know, I know. Trust me, I've tried my best to refuse to that project but they didn't allow me to take a leave."
"Then resign!" I blurted out without thinking.
"You know I won't ever do that. I'm doing this for us, Hyejin."
"For us?! If you're doing this for us, why the hell did you choose that project over your own wedding, Sungjae?! Tell me!"
"I'm sorry, Hyejin but that's final. I can't back out now. You know how much important it is to me."
"And you know how much important the wedding is to me!" I stood up and walk towards the door to open it.
"Get out." I simply said, looking at the ground while my other hand is closed in a fist.
"Hyejin.." He walked towards me and tried to hold my hand but I was too furious to let him do whatever he wants.
"I said GET OUT! And maybe it is good for the both of us to just call the wedding off, too." I suddenly said. I didn't mean to say it but I didn't feel any guilt either. Usually, whenever I kid about the wedding call off to him, I feel nervous cause he might buy my joke and our wedding will be truly off but now.. There's no any sign of guilt I felt.
"Don't you ever do that!" He shouted at me. You can see the disbelief in his face just by looking at him.
"I'm sorry but I just did." I said calmly without looking at him. I can't believe he still wants me to pursue the wedding even if he's the one who has set it aside.
"But I never agreed."
"...."
"Is it because of him?" He broke the silence after the long seconds that I wasn't able to speak.
"What?!" I asked, a bit surprised. Even though I already knew who he was referring to, I still can't deny the fact that I was surprised by his sudden outburst.
"Kim Taehyung. Do you think I know nothing?!"
"..." I kept my mouth shut, closing my eyes to calm myself. I don't want to think that Taehyung is the reason of all this.
It's his fault, Hyejin.
He has chosen to prioritize that stupid trip to France as part of his so-called job over your wedding and Taehyung has nothing to do with it.
It's his fault. Not yours. Not Taehyung's. It's his.
"What now Hyejin?! I'm not fcking dumb to not notice the way you look at each other. That day. At the park. D'you think I'm not aware of that?! D'you think I'm not hurt?!" He started shouting at me, giving me the guilt that I wasn't supposed to feel.
"Don't you ever turn the tables on me, Sungjae. If you want to go to France, THEN GO! You love your job right? You love it more than me. So be it. Marry your job!" I shouted at him and pushed him out of my house and shut the door closed.
I leaned my body to the back door and looked up, trying to process what had just happen.
I never thought that this would happen to me. I remember when I broke up with Taehyung. He has proven me that he's prepared to lose his dream, his popularity, his job just to be with me but I still chose to set him free even if that means of hurting the both of us. I did that for him.
Maybe you're now asking why I have to remember all that. It's simple. Taehyung wanted to choose me over his job while Sungjae didn't. He loves his job so much that he can't refuse to go to that trip.
Silly, right?
But I don't want any comparison any more. Taehyung's just a part of my past now and I know that he was still mad at me for what I have done to him. I made his life miserable. I knew what has happened to him after that break up. And up until now, I still can't forgive myself for that..
** TAEHYUNG'S POV **
"Daddy! What's taking you so long?!" Taejin impatiently called me while I'm still in the midst of preparing myself to go out with Hyejin. I mean, Taejin, Hyejin, and I were going out. It doesn't mean anything, right? Just the three of us? Going out? Together?
"Daddyyyyy~~! Hyejin-ssi might be waiting for the wedding gown sketches now!"
Uh.. Yeah. I forgot. That was just the reason of us, going out together. About the wedding gown. Thanks to my daughter. She insisted on making the wedding gown for Hyejin which absolutely left me no choice.
"Daddy! How many times do I have to call you?" She stood at the front door, crossing her arms and raising one of her eyebrows on me. I smiled at the thought that my baby is just a 5-year-old kid but she's now acting like a grown-up lady.
"Don't look at daddy like that, Hyejin-ah!" I smiled but immediately faded when I realized something..
"Daddy! I know that we're both pretty but I'm not Hyejin-ssi. I'm Taejin! Tae-- TAEhyung and HyeJIN? Daddy?" She's now looking at me confusedly.
Oh, no no. This is not yet the right time to figure everything out, princess.
Curse this stupid mouth for being so careless! What am I going to do now? How am I supposed to explain this to my daughter?!
What if she figured out the story behind her name? And the connection of it from everything?! I haven't told her who her mother is yet. What if she thinks that it is Hyejin?
Hyejin's getting married now. Taejin is just a kid. I'm afraid she might misunderstood everything. Ugh!
"Are you ready to go now, Princess?" I gave her a wide smile to keep her attention away from thinking about that.
"Y-yes, daddy." She held out my hand a bit hesitant and we went to Hyejin's house.
