19 TOO LATE

*beep beep beeeeeeeeeep!*

"Ahjussi. Don't we have any alternative ways here? I swear, I'm gonna be late for something very important."

"I'm sorry but there's no other way but here, ma'am. I mean there is but it is still under construction."

Shit!

Someone just got lucky.

Very lucky!

I have nothing to say but to curse and curse until I get there.

It's already 11am but still, I'm in the middle of the traffic and I don't think I could be there before 12:30 anymore. I fumbled my phone in my bag but it was not there. And then I realized that I left it on my study table.

Why so foolish, Hyejin-ah?

Ugh!!

I am losing my temper now. Really..

Taehyung is calling me several times now for sure.

Irritation is visible on the way I act.

Who can't get annoyed by this kind of a situation?

"Ma'am, if you can't wait any longer, you could just run to get there since the airport is just some meters away from here now."

"Ahh. Really? Why now, ahjussi?"

I asked with full of sarcasm and irritation.

"I'm sorry, ma'am."

Ugh.

I closed my eyes and took a deep sigh to loosen up my irritated self.

After a few seconds, I got out of the car and began running to be able to catch up with him.

Time check: 12:00

Run faster, Hye. You can do it!

I can merely see the airport now. Few more steps and I'm gonna be there.

As I entered the airport's vicinity, I began running again to be at the departure area but I guess it's too late now.

Taehyung was already inside.

"Taehyung-ah~" I whispered to myself while panting.

This can't be..

"KIM TAEHYUUUUUUUUUUUNG!!"

I shouted out loud for him to be able to hear me but he doesn't look back.

No! Turn around, Taehyung-ah!

"KIM TAEHYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNG!"

Finally, he looked back. I smiled widely as I saw him looking at me in surprise.

We both ran into each other but the guards crossed his way. He was not allowed to go back anymore. He was trying to insist but the guards still don't allow him.

I walk towards him and signalled him to come near me wherein there's this mirror between us, more like a barricade.

My tears start falling down on my cheeks while still smiling.

I touched my lips and leaned it to the mirror while he did the same thing.

Looks like we just had our indirect kiss.

"I'll miss you." We both said as we bid our goodbyes to each other.

I wanted to hug him but I couldn't..

I wanted to kiss him for one last time but still, I couldn't.

I was crying silently for the thought that I couldn't even told him to take good care of himself and call me if he's already there.

I couldn't even told him how much I love him and I'm gonna wait for him no matter what.

Now, I'm just looking at his back, slowly walking away from me and drift off.

"It will be fine, Hyejin-ah. He will surely call you when he got there. Trust me."

Someone patted my shoulder and realized that it was his mom.

I nodded in response and turned my gaze back to the departure area.

"Let's go eat now. He will call us after a few hours from now. You know he'll get mad if we are just crying all the time here so let's not skip meal."

His dad called our attention and so we followed.

We are about to leave the airport when I stopped walking cause I remembered one thing..

I forgot to give him something..

"Is there something wrong, eonni?"

Seohyun asked me when she noticed me. Actually, she was just the only one who noticed me stopped walking since we're holding each other's hands.

"Nothing. Let's go."

I smiled at her and began walking fast to follow them.
