"Then it's settled." Fawnstar meowed.
The WindClan leader had went back to her place in the tree, while Feather and the others remained at the base. The others had accepted Feather, Hawk, and Raven to their Clans, and Dustpaw still looked confused.
"Feather, Hawk, and Raven will stay with us, in WindClan." Fawnstar finished. "Does anyone disagree?"
Feather flinched as a cat hissed from the back. "Are you sure they need Dustpaw?"
A harsh growl shushed the young tom who spoke. "Don't you dare doubt the leaders and tribe cats, Applepaw."
Dustpaw glanced at Feather. "T-that's my brother." She mewed. "He doesn't like me."
Nodding, Feather touched her nose to the young she-cat's head. "Don't worry. You've got three cats looking after you now. Until we find out what we need to do."
Crowstar spoke up. "How about any questions?"
Feather saw a deputy shift near her. "Will they be able to stay in each clan to visit sometime?" Turning to the cat, Feather found a gray she-cat, who smelled of the fish that Spottedwing and Roseleap described as RiverClan scent.
Fawnstar nodded. "Of course." She mewed. "Within the next few days, I will send some warriors to visit each clan with Feather, Hawk, and Raven."
The gray she-cat's eyes lit up with happiness as another cat spoke.
"Does that mean we have to be nice to other clans?"
Gingerstar scoffed. "Yes, Vineleaf."
Guessing it was one of his warriors, Feather shrugged off the harsh remark.
"Then let the gathering end!" Fawnstar called as she jumped from the branch, meeting Feather, Hawk, and Raven once more. "Let's go!" She mewed, before leading the three cats out of the island.
As Feather followed the WindClan leader, the dark cream tom earlier bounded up. Looking to the tom, her ears pricked.
"I-I'm so sorry from earlier." The tom meowed, glancing at Hawk. "To you too."
Feather nodded, stopping at the log, to let other WindClan warriors go. "You're forgiven."
"Thank you." The dark cream tom meowed, puffing out a breath of air. "But anyways, I'm WindClan's deputy, Mossleap. I can be the one to show you around the camp if you'd like."
"Oh, sure!" Feather mewed, dipping her head to the tom, before following him and Hawk across the log, and followed by the small, quick, and short steps of Raven.
Jumping off the log, Feather watched as the fishy smell of RiverClan veered to the other way onto the marshy ground, and kept following Mossleap to the dark night.
As she padded on, Feather felt as the grass beneath her paws thickened and grew taller. Enjoying the tall blades brushing her flanks, the she-cat felt as free as ever, rather than being in the enclosed space of the ThunderClan forest.
"Come on!" The dark cream tom yowled as he sped up, and soon began racing along the moor.
Letting an exited mew escape her mouth, she followed Mossleap, running with the wind.
Deep puffs sounded behind her as Hawk caught up. "Great mice do you run fast!"
Purring, Feather forced her legs to go faster. "Then I guess you'll never catch me!" She raced up to Mossleap, and met his gaze.
"I guess you're a true WindClan cat at heart, rather than a tribe cat." He meowed, breathing heavy.
Another cat bounded over. "It's not the blood that counts." He mewed. "You know who our mother was, Mossleap."
