"We will leave for the gathering soon!" The ThunderClan leader, Crowstar announced as he sat beside his deputy, Leafheart, to discuss who will be coming.

Feather, Hawk, Spottedwing, Raven, and Rosestep had all sat near the fresh-kill pile, sharing a rabbit, and two squirrels before they left for the gathering.

"I wonder what we'll hear about RiverClan and ShadowClan." Rosestep mewed as she took a bite of the squirrel. "They've been quarreling since last gathering."

Spottedwing's ears pricked. "That's right!" She mewed. "RiverClan thinks ShadowClan is dumb enough to take prey from their river." She informed Feather, Hawk, and Raven.

"But I think they're smart enough to not!" Rosestep put in. "I wouldn't dare go near that crazy water, especially with how high it is right now."

Spottedwing nodded. "Maybe we should tell you a little more about the other clans."

"Oh, yes." Feather mewed. "Please."

Spottedwing sat back. "So WindClan," She meowed. "Where you need to go."

Feather slowly nodded.

"Well obviously," Spottedwing meowed. "They live on the moor. The cats there are thinner, and can run very fast."

"And because they live on the moor," Rosestep put in. "They don't get much cover, and have to use warriors to guard their camp."

Hawk shrugged. "Couldn't be that hard." He meowed. "Living on the moor their whole life, they'll be able to see anything on their territory."

"I guess you could say that." Spottedwing meowed, "But having the cover of trees is way better, in my opinion."

Feather bent down and took a bite of the rabbit, tearing off it's tough flesh. The rabbits are probably way better in WindClan. Sitting back up, Feather glanced at Hawk.

"So what about RiverClan?" Hawk asked, resting his tail on Feather's back.

Rosestep scrunched her nose. "First off, they smell like fish!"

Spottedwing let out a mrrow of amusement. "They practically live in the water."

Feather saw Raven shudder. Ignoring the tom, she flicked her tail. "Do they only eat fish?" She asked.

"Mostly." Spottedwing answered. "But they also eat shrews and mice too."

"And what about ShadowClan?" Feather asked.

Rosestep shook her head. "The clan smells of rats." She meowed. "You can smell them from across the lake!"

"Oh," Spottedleap mewed. "I suggest you not try to make friends with a ShadowClan cat. They're practically fox-hearts."

Rosestep glanced at Spottedleap. "What about Duskpetal?"

"That's an exception." She mewed. "She's half ThunderClan."

"Half ThunderClan?" Hawk echoed.

Rosestep nodded. "Foxeye's daughter. He's an Elder here." She meowed. "But Duskpetal's mother, Marshpool, died last season, an Elder of ShadowClan."

"Duskpetal is a senior warrior of ShadowClan." Spottedwing meowed. "You'll probably see her at the gathering."

Feather nodded, as Leafheart let out a call, telling the clan they were leaving.

Spottedwing jumped up. "Come on!" She mewed.

As Rosestep, Hawk, Feather, and Raven got up and raced to the camp entrance, they abandoned the half-eaten prey.
