When life gives you lemons make orange juice. Just be you. If you have to change yourself to fit in then you shouldn't. You will know who your true friends are by acting the way you were born to act. Every day there are people who try and fit in at the school's popular group. If you think about it, they are popular for being themselves. So be you, be the unique one. Don't be a follower or else at the end when you accidentally show your true colors, people might leave you and all the hard work of fitting in and not being you have gone to waste.

Kate POV

"What happened in here?!" Adam and Josh exclaim at the same time.

'Hey guys, one sec I'll... don't touch that! Stop!' I shout in frustration.

"Are you looking for someone?" Adam asks in confusion while surveying my bedroom floor.

'I said one second!' Okay, so my room was a mess-and I'm putting that lightly. Currently I am surfing through all my yearbooks. I'm marking who I was friends with then marking out all the girls.

"Why do you think she's marking out all the girls?" I hear Adam whisper to Josh.

"I don't know. Maybe the boys are her pass crushes and the girls are who the guys dated? Josh replies.

"Nah. Can't be. Look here, she marked out Olivia Monroe. That's her best friend and this is like from her 3rd grade class. If that was true then they wouldn't still be friends."

Huh, Adam pays attention to detail of my life...and remembers it. I think to myself as they bicker back and forth about why I'm marking out all girls.

'Okay guys, why are you even here in the first place?' I ask while glancing up from my 5th grade yearbook.

"I was going to ask if you wanted to get some lunch." They both said at the same time then pausing at the end to glare at each other. They started to argue between themselves on who asked first. They are such babies.

'What if I told you I already have lunch plans.' I say while raising my eyebrows. In all honesty I actually do. Robert and I are going to meet at Becky's Diner. It's like our regular place now, except all we do is talk the whole time. It's kind of like a once a week or once every two weeks kind of thing.

'Sorry guys, I would love to but I have to meet Robert at Becky's Diner in...half an hour.' I say while glancing down at my watch.

I hurriedly finish the 5th grade yearbook in record speed then jump around trying to find my jacket. 'Adam!' I shout out as I open the door to my room.

"In here!" He shouts back. I run inside his room and find him studying for his math test on Monday.

'Adam?' I say while making a puppy face.

"Yeah?" He says looking at me suspiciously.

'Can I please borrow your jacket? I can't find mine and I have to go now if I want to make it there on time. Also, I can't find mine...and it's starting to get chilly.'

"Fine." He grumbles and stands up walking toward his dresser near the window. He opened the 4th drawer and inside of it was a bunch of random jackets and clothing and cool accessories'. "Here," He said while thrusting his jacket in my face. It was black with light pillows or puff and had his name written on the chest pocket.
