"This is so freakin' cool!" Mae is all too happy when she learned what she really is. Something I didn't really expect. No ... Ok.... I DID kinda expect this a little. What with her always asking me to teach her stuff before. Now that she knows she could actually do them on her own, she's more than thrilled. "Did I just do that?" She's almost jumping around Cecilia at the basement after putting the older woman on a trance, reciting a spell from the book I had her look into.
A smile forms on my face as I watch her. Over the years I've lived, I've never, for once, imagined I'd be training another witch. I've always thought I am still learning.
From what I thought, the annoyance I felt for the girl since the first I heard her open her mouth was never gonna disappear. But, look at me now, smiling and feeling happy for her.
"Just don't go around and experiment on people." I giggle. "Now, undo your spell on her." I tell her, pointing at the woman who's looking at me with her pleading eyes and frozen body. "I need you to do something else for me."
"What?" She says still at it at teasing Cecilia.
"Mark. He can't stay here."
"Why don't you do it yourself?"
"I can't."
"Why not?" She smirks. "Oh. I think someone's at the door."
I heard that, too. It must be Jinyoung. He's taking me to this summoner today and he told me he'd come pick me up. "Cecilia." I tap Mae's shoulder when she follows me up the stairs of the basement and almost forgets about the older woman.
"Oh..." She chuckles. "Can't you do it, though?"
"No. You did it, you have to be the one to undo it. One thing you always have to remember, Mae. You can't undo something someone else did. You can cast another spell maybe to alter it a bit, but, you can't remove it."

"Who's he? And what were you three doing down there?" Mark is at the entrance to the living room when we reached the ground floor. He has his brows furrowed and he looks annoyed. I take a peek at the living room and see Jinyoung sitting comfortably on the couch with a magazine in hand. He sees me and smiles. I smile back at him.
"He's a friend." I tell Mark. I look at Mae and signal her so she could start with her mantra on Mark.
"Friend?" The boy gets a hold of my arm when I pass him on my way to Jinyoung who's already on his feet.
"Yeah. We're going out." I raise my eyebrow at Mae to make it faster and she gives me a look that says she's trying.
"Where?"
"Is something wrong?" Jinyoung is now walking towards us. He sees my troubled face and the grip of Mark's hand on my arm. He looks at me questioningly and side glances the boy beside me.
"Everything's fine." Mark grits his teeth, clenching his jaw at Jinyoung as his hold on me tightens.
I turn to Mae in panic, "Hurry up!"
"I'm trying." She's obviously panicking, too. I point at my eyes, telling her she should be doing it while the boy is looking at her. She turns Mark to face her but the boy is too stubborn to look away from me and Jinyoung.
"I think we need to talk." Mark tells me. He looks so angry.
"Mark." I manage to say, a bit scared at how he stares me down. I'm not sure what I'm dealing with here.
Jinyoung must've noticed my expression. "Let's just get out of here first." He tells me, holding my other arm.
But, Mark won't let that happen. He pulls me hard and drags me behind him up the stairs.
