"Noooo! Annie! Don't leave me!" I reach out my hand to her, but she's slowly turning to thin air.
"Mark!" Someone's shaking me from behind, pulling my shoulder. "Mark! Son!"
I turn around, opening my eyes. "Dad?"
A smile forms on his lips and he chuckles. "Had too much to drink last night, huh?"
I stare at him, confused at what is going on. Only after a while of watching him laugh at me that I realize I'm at home, in my room, on my bed, and the sun is already up. "Shit!" I put a hand over my eyes, laying flat on my back. "What time is it?"
"It's already the next day." He continues laughing as he pulls the drapes to the side, letting the rays of the sun brighten the room even more. "Get up from there. Birthday's over." He throws my shirt that was on the floor at me before he goes out of the room.
"Ugh!" My head throbs when I move to my side, not being able to get up. I've had too much to drink, alright. It was the first time my parents allowed me to, since it was my eighteenth birthday yesterday. It was fun at first, but everything became hazy after the second bottle. I don't fuckin' remember how I got to my room. How did my friends go home even?
Wait .... What was that before dad woke me up? Was it just a dream? But it felt real. Though I forgot half of what happened last night, I remember everything in that dream. Every single detail. My mom was also there ... even my great grandma. They were .... shit ...
Ridiculous.

"MOM!" I shout at the top of my lungs when I get home from school, angry, after an argument with my girlfriend.
She comes in running in just a few seconds. "What happened .... Oh, dear! Mark! What did you do?"
My room is a pile of mess. Things thrown every which way. And a spark of fire catches on the sheets of my bed.
"God. Mark." She's panicking as I stand at the door, not knowing what just happened. She calls the maid, asking her for the fire extinguisher. My dad comes in after a while and pulls the both of us out, leaving the maids to tend to the dying fire.
"What just happened?" I ask, more to myself.
We're already in the den, my dad is pacing the room and my mom is sitting on the far end of the couch, biting on her nails.
"Did you do that son?" My dad asks, finally stopping in front of me.
"I don't know." I shake my head slowly, still in a trance. I didn't even touch anything. The things just started flying around when my eyes landed on them. Did I?
My mom finally gets up and walks towards my dad. "I'll talk to him." She tells him, touching his arm. "Go and rest."
He doesn't say a word. I know he wants to bombard me with questions, but with just those few words from my mom, he obeys.
"Mark." She sighs, sitting beside me again. "Did anything happen in school?" She turns my head so she's looking directly at my eyes. The wrinkles on her forehead deepens as she stares at me. "Did you ... perhaps ... get angry? Tell me."
I end up telling her everything from when I saw my girlfriend talking to my arch enemy in school to the time I got to my room.
"Calm down." She rubs her hands at the sides of my arms, her eyes still on mine, when she senses my body tensing up at the thought of what made me irate earlier. "Just, breathe in .... that's it..." She says, her voice soothing me a little. "Now, just forget what happened, ok?"
