Stella's POV- March 2016
"Are you talking with Trayce? You literally stopped talking to him like 10 minutes ago"
I glanced up at Anthony and raised an eyebrow.
"I will eat Chinese Food on your notes if they are in my way" I stated.
He rolled his eyes and began putting away his notes that were scatted all over the dining table.
"How was your review?"
I nodded and looked back down at my phone.
"I thought Trayce was going to dinner with his teammates"
"He is" I told him.
"Then who are you texting?"
I looked at him.
"Dad" I said.
He raised an eyebrow.
"Shouldn't he be watching the hockey game?"
"He's a great multitasker" I stated.
My parents were in Minnesota for the weekend cheering for Sonia and her teammates who were hoping to advance to the Semifinals. Sonia understood that I could not be there tonight because I had plans that I could not drop. I led a final review from 10AM-12PM and then came back to finish grading papers. I had to have them graded before 8AM on Monday because that was the time my students had their final. I had my two finals on Tuesday, and a proposal due on Wednesday. Trayce was hoping I could visit him for his birthday on Tuesday, but I couldn't.
"Oh he's cute" I said as I zoomed in on the picture my mom had sent me.
"Who?"
"Sonia's boyfriend" I told Anthony.
"Wait...What!"
He stood up and quickly made his way over.
"Let me see!"
I showed him the picture of the cute boy who was sitting in between both my parents.
"How did Sonia keep this hidden?"
"I've got no clue, all I know is that she introduced him to mom and dad as her boyfriend" I said.
"He looks so soft"
"I really want to pet his hair" I admitted.
Anthony laughed and nodded.
"What's the score?"
"6-1, Minnesota" I said.
"What period?"
"The third is about to begin" I told him.
"Well it looks like you might meet this boy next week"
"Looks like it" I stated.
I looked at him.
"I'm really going to eat on your notes" I stated.
He frowned.
"Give me a second"
I nodded and leaned back.
"You never told me, how was the review?"
"My students are much more prepared than the rest" I admitted.
"Well that's good"
"It is" I said.
I looked down at my phone.
"The cutie has a name" I told him.
"I figured he would"
I rolled my eyes and chose to ignore him.
"His name is Israel" I said.
"How old is he?"
I hummed as I read the text my mom had sent me.
"Stella?"
I glanced up at Anthony who had cleaned the table and was setting the Chinese on the table.
"Sorry, he's 21" I told him
He nodded and sat across from me.
"How many final exams do you have?"
"Two" I said as he handed me a plate.
"When?"
"Tuesday" I told him as I reached for the fried rice.
"Both?"
I nodded and put some fried rice on my plate.
"And I have a research paper due Wednesday" I added.
"You're like halfway done with that though"
"Time management" I stated.
He nodded.
"When are your finals?" I asked.
"I got Ochem on Monday, Stats on Tuesday, and Genetics on Wednesday"
"Your worst class is the first one" I said earning a nod from him.
I handed him the fried rice and took the noodles from him.
"I'm set for Genetics and Stats, but I still have to study"
I nodded.
"How exactly do your Psych finals work?"
"Short and free responses, the occasional true or false as well as multiple choice" I said.
He made a face.
"So you have to really know the material"
"Some of it is common sense" I stated.
He nodded and handed me the orange chicken.
"Mom is dropping by tomorrow to see us"
"To check in on us" I corrected.
"Basically, I told her you were craving Flan"
He was craving it, but if he said I wanted it she would make it.
"I don't mind it" I admitted.
I set the takeout box of orange chicken on the table and reached for a veggie role.
"Are you going to take a picture and post it on instagram?"
"How could I forget" I said as I put the veggie role on my plate.
I reached for a napkin and cleaned my hands before reaching for my phone. I looked at the screen and saw Trayce had texted me,
Making the guys watch the hockey game with me. Might have accidently spilled that you play softball.
"Oh my god...you really like him"
I looked at Anthony.
"What?" I asked.
"Please tell me that was Trayce"
I nodded.
"Your eyes literally lit up, I thought I would never live to see the day"
I rolled my eyes and responded to Trayce,
Dad is keeping me updated on the game that is currently recording for me to watch on Wednesday after I'm done with class
You're lucky you're cute!
