TWENTY EIGHT

Stella's POV- April 2016

"So dad wanted me to talk to you about something"

"About what?" I asked as I set a basket of folded clothes on my bed.

I had gone to dinner with my dad after the Dodger game on Sunday. He seemed a bit off, but I figured he was just tired because he'd been busy with a project at work.

"Your dad wanted you to have these"

My eyes widened a bit as she pulled a box of condoms from her purse.

"Dad and I realized that we have never had the birds and the bees talk with either you or Sonia"

I nodded slowly.

"He wore protection, right?"

There was no point in denying that I had sex. I had a great relationship with my parents because I did not keep anything from them.

"Yes" I told her.

She let out a puff of air and nodded.

"You know you can come to me if you need anything, right?"

"I know" I said.

She placed her hand on my knee and looked at me.

"He was gentle" I stated.

"Good, it didn't hurt too much?"

I shook my head and she smiled.

"Then he took good care of you"

I shrugged.

"How did dad figure it out?" I asked.

She smiled.

"Sometimes you just know honey"

I raised an eyebrow.

"You were very careful with your pace"

Anthony had noticed the minute I walked into the condo on Saturday afternoon. I was sore, but I figured I'd be fine by Sunday morning. I thought I was, but clearly my dad was able to see right through it.

"Your dad and I have to realize is that you're not our babies anymore. You and Sonia are two beautiful and intelligent young ladies"

She smiled and sniffled a bit.

"You two don't need us as much now"

I scooted over and hugged her.

"I'll always need you and dad" I told her.

I had an incredibly close relationship with my parents, and I was incredibly thankful for it. Mom and dad were busy people but they were always involved in mine's and Sonia's lives. Sonia and I always had a cheerleader whether it was both my parents at a game or either one of them. 

A/N: This was a filler chapter so I will try to post another when I get back from running an errand with my mom. I have a sinus and ear infection at the moment, so I need to get some mucinex cause that thing cures everything!
