I tapped my pencil on top of my doodle covered notebook staring aimlessly at the clock above the projection screen in front of me.

Five minutes, just five more minutes.

I looked around at the other students, most of them were asleep or on their phone. Only a couple were actually listening to the professor.

Finally the professor finished his lecture, signaling the end of Marketing Principals.

I sighed with relief, getting up with the rest of the eager students who wanted nothing more but to leave.

Checking my phone, which had been turned off in class, I saw I had got a miss call from Alec. Answering my messages and snap chats, I called Alec back.

After four rings I heard Alec pick up.

"Hey Grace."

"Hey Alec." I answered. "I saw you called, what's up?"

"Oh, well, it's getting close to lunch, and my Economics class ending an hour ago. So I called to see if we could go out to eat."

"Are you sure you aren't going to starve before I get there?" I tease letting a wide grin spread across my face.

"Hey! I'm trying to be nice here!" I could hear him pout into the phone.

I laughed. " That sounds great Alec."

"That wasn't very nice..." he muttered receiving another laugh from me.

"Alright I'm sorry." I giggled. "Aphrodite's in fifteen? I'll pay."

"You know I'll do anything for free food." Alec said.

We said our goodbyes and I hung up.

Suddenly my phone buzzed and I got a text:

I furrowed my eyebrows is confusion, but I shook myself. It must have been a accident. I deleted the conservation and put my phone in my purse.

I caught the bus a rode it to St. Louis, which was a good ten minute ride, getting off in front of a huge office building.

Aphrodite's is a quaint cafe in the heart of St. Louis. It's super pretty and has amazing food. But it doesn't have that many customers because of its size compared to the enormous skyscrapers surrounding it.

Which to be completely honest, is why I like it so much, it reminds me of home.

I opened the door, causing the bell on the inside to jingle playfully.

"Hello Grace!" I was greeted by a girl with long black hair.

"Hi Emily! How's your mom?" I answered, giving her a hug.

"She's doing good! She's out of the hospital and coming back soon!" Emily chirped.

"That's great!" I said.

Emily's mom, Jennifer, is the owner of the cafe. She was diagnosed with breast cancer but they found it early enough were they could get it out in one surgery. Alec, Camille, Maddie, Andrew, Ryan and I always come here to eat together or just after class to relax. Emily also goes to our school so we've become good friends.

"Anyways, I have to go tend to the customers." Emily said. "But Alec told me you guys were meeting up, he's over there." she pointed over to a table by the front window.

"Thanks Emily." I said hugging her one last time and walking over in the direction of Alec's table.

"Hey." Alec smirked as I sat down across from him at the small circular table her had chosen.
