"Uno." Maddie said laying down a yellow five on top of my green one. I smirked as I heard curses spread around the room as teams re-looked over their cards to see if they had any that would keep her from winning.
Ryan how ever, who was right after Maddie, grinned and laid down a yellow reverse, turning back to Maddie who frowned, drawing a card from the pile. "I don't like you."
"Well we all know that's a lie." Ryan said with a smirk still on his face.
Maddie ignored him blowing hair out of her face.
I put a yellow eight down and shouted "Uno!"
Alec's eyes lit up as he placed a yellow reverse, the same as Ryan did, onto the deck.
I laughed placing down my last card, which was a yellow zero and triumphantly around at everyone.
"I don't like you." Alec grumbled tossing his cards onto the table.
"Well we all know that's a lie." I mocked smugly.
Alec stuck his tongue out slightly and I did the same.
Were such mature adults

"So guess what tomorrow is?!" Camille said excitedly.
"Thursday?" Alec asked confused.
"No!" Camille said. "Well, yes, but that's not what I meant. Tomorrow is officially the first day of December!"
I grinned, this was Camille's thing. Mine was Halloween, Maddie's was celebrities, Camille's was Winter.
"I say we go Christmas shopping tomorrow to celebrate." Camille said. "We can totally deck out Alec and Grace place! Ooh and Andrew's too and.."
"Woah." Andrew said, laying his hand to rest on Camille's arm. "We can decorate Alec and Grace's place for now, if that's alright with you." He looked at me and Alec and we both shrugged, it'd be fun to decorate anyways.
"And maybe." Andrew continued. "We can decorate my place another time, you know, just the two of us?"
Camille's cheeks grew pink and she nodded.
Awe they were so sweet to each other, I'm so glad they got back together.
"Well." Maddie said brushing herself off as she stood up from our couch. "What are we waiting for?"
We all put on our coats and scarfs, it was cold for the end of November in Missouri. If it rained it would definitely turn into hail or snow.
As we pulled into Hobby Lobby, I grinned as I could almost see the excitement ooze off Camille when she got out of the car.
Pulling Andrew she giggled, which she never does, and grabbed three carts, one for me and Alec for our apartment, one of Andrews house, and the last one for Ryan's apartment.
Camille picked most of the stuff, wreaths and lights and candles, all the nine yards. But I did pick a few pillows and a cute little tree, since a full sized one would not fit in our living room.
Alec of course got lots of chocolate and candy canes, which many turned out to be fake, he learned the hard way.
I had to admit, it was super fun shopping with my friends for Christmas for the first time. I usually went with my mom and my siblings, but never with just Camille and Maddie.
But I had a feeling this years was going to be special.

"Hey!" I yelled as I felt the dryness of fake snow fall on top of my head, I turned around to see Alec holding an empty bag labeled 'faux snow'.
"It wasn't me!" he said holding his hands up in defense, but I couldn't help but notice the look of humor on his face.
Oh it's on Alec Daniels.
"Yeah right." I said retorted, taking one of the new pillows I bought, I chased him down and swung it at his face with full force.
"No I'm serious!" He laughed as he tried to dodge my attacks. "It wasn't me I swear!"
I heard a loud giggle over Alec's half-hearted shrieks. Turning around I saw Camille quickly whip something behind her back. And I bet you can guess what it was.
An empty snow bag.
Apparently Alec had tripped and spilled his bag of fake snow, so Camille took the opportunity to dump her snow bag onto me and blamed it on Alec.
Let's just say Alec and I get even.
After about and hour of decorating we finally finished, as we said goodbye Camille said she was sorry for not buying any mistletoe for me and Alec, but turns out they didn't have any left at Hobby Lobby.
"You guys would be so cute together!" she squealed wrapping her scarf around her neck. "It would definitely give you guys and chance to finally kiss!"
I rolled my eyes. "Bye guys, bye Camille." I said shutting the door.
I chuckled thinking about it as I swept up Alec's spilled snow, I don't think I'm going to kiss anyone this year.
"Hey I got the dustpan." Alec said coming into the room interrupting my thoughts.
"Good." I said sweeping up the fluff onto the dustpan.
"Hey how's Josh?" I asked putting the broom in the closet as Alec threw away the fluff. "I haven't seen him in awhile."
"I don't actually know." Alec admitted dusting off his hands in the sink. "He just stopped hanging out with us and I tried to call him but it always goes to voicemail."
"That's strange." I said confused. "He would have at least said something don't you think?"
"I guess." Alec shrugged. "But we didn't really know much about him, maybe he just forgot."
"Well I hope he has a good Christmas." I sighed staring at our days work of decor.
"I'm sure he will." Alec smiled standing next to me. "Now did I ever tell you how much fake snow is better than regular snow, it's just so much.. warmer."
"You're so weird."
