To say I was shocked was an understatement of the year. I looked up to him and kissed him all over his face “oh my gosh I missed you so much never leave me again!” I yelled. After the words left my mouth I could feel myself being lifted out of Anthony’s arms and behind someone’s back. I could already tell it as Jayden just by the way his touch made me feel. He stood in front of me and crossed his arms “and who are you” he asked his voice deep and rough, oh so sexy. I took a little peek to see Anthony’s face was covered with confusion and anger. While the two of them glared at each other I took out my sour gummies and started to munch on them and when the silence started to annoy me I did everyone a favor and did introductions “Anthony this is my jadibaby Jayden and Jayden this is my brother from another hole Anthony and we all know I’m the beautiful promise!” Jayden looked back and gave me a sexy smile and winked and I just rolled my eyes and laughed a littlee. Uhg I just can’t get enough of this boy. I walked to his side and hitched my arm through his and put all my weight on him and continued eating my gummies. I looked back up to Anthony to see he was looking between me and Jayden “so where did you go when did you come back and are you going to school today” thinking about school I needed to hurry because I forgot to text Danielle she is going to kill me. “I had a big deal we had to work out in Tampa and I just got back this morning and yes I’m going to school I was going to surprise you” he said I just raised an eyebrow because he knew I absolutely hated surprises. “Yeah yeah don’t give me no smack I don’t want to hear it, but I’m glad you missed me” he said with a smirk on his face.” Oh if you knew how to answer calls I wouldn’t have to think you were dead.” I said putting my gummies away and started to play with Jayden’s fingers. “So when did you meet this kid and how come I don’t know him” Anthony asked looking a little mad. “Oh umm well I met him yesterday and he’s been stuck to my side since” I said and looked up and stuck my tongue out at Jayden. He just rolled his eyes and leaned down and gave me a quick peck. I shook my head looked back at Anthony to see he was staring at us with shock all over his face “ok let me get this straight you met the dude yesterday, and I see he doesn’t have a broken nose so you didn’t hurt him yet” then he started to clap and that got everyone around us attention and he said “promise has gone soft on us yaal but the world didn’t end yet so it’s ok” “oh yeah. your so funny! just shut the fuck up” I grabbed Jayden’s hand went up to Anthony kissed him on the cheek and walked away “see you at school dumbass” I looked at my phone to see I had 11 missed calls and texts from Danielle and 5 from deejay when I looked at the time I seen 1st period was almost over oh well I don’t even have that class with Jayden so it’s ok. I decided to send a quick text to deejay knowing that if I texted Danielle I would get an ear full

I didn’t even reply back knowing that he would already be out going after Danielle. When we hopped in the car and pulled out the gas station I looked over at Jayden to see him looking straight ahead eyes focused on the road deep in thought. I grabbed the hand that was on the hand rest between us and held his hand “what’s wrong” I asked him softly. “Just you with other dudes kissing them and shit that irks me” he said. “Jay don’t be mad or anything he is like my brother, when I really had nobody he was there. He was there before Danielle and I haven’t seen him for like a month sooooo.” I faded out. He glanced at me out the corner of his eye and sighed “bae I feel you it’s just that I aint cool with no dude all up on you.” He said softly “now Jayden you know damn well that I don’t make anybody touch me so you don’t have to trip.” I said it like it was the most ovbious thing in the world. He let out a laugh and shook his head “yeah I know I seen what happened in the shop” he laughed. “ha Oh really haha.” I said scratching my hair a little and looking out the window. I heard him let out a laugh “so I was wondering if you’re not working do you wanna go out tonight.” I looked over at him and smiled he looked back at me and returned it. “Yes Jayden I’ll go.” he just took my hand and rested out joined hands and rested it on my lap and we rode the rest of the way to school in a comfortable silence.
When we pulled up to the school 1st period just ended “what class do you have now” Jayden asked. “Ummm I think I have music. I never go because I hate singing” I said. “I got that class too so were going let’s go” he didn’t even wait for my reply because he already had us trudging through the entrance of the school. While we walked I could see everyone stop to look at us as we passed and I could just feel the rumors popping up in the air already. ,ost of the females of the school were glaring at me as if looks could kill I just raised an eyebrow and they just turned their heads. I could see the same happening with Jayden and the male population of the school all I could do was laugh. I looked around to see if I seen the crew and the only face I seen was Tariq throughout the crowd of kids. “Tariq where’s Danielle.” I asked him “she should be by yaal lockers wih Dee” he said walking over to me and give be a kiss on the cheek and doing a little handshake with jay. I said a quick by as the warning bell rang and Jayden had us trudging down the hall way again. When we got through the door Mr. Blake looked up “omg the world must be ending did promise Gordon really just graced us with her presence!” he exclaimed “haha your so funny Mr.” I said sarcastically. Mr. b is a really cool teacher but I just always skip his class when it’s time for me to perform. I went and took a seat with Jayden in the back and looked up to see the teacher was still looking at me with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face “come on start the class we don’t have all day” I said hating the look he was giving me “oh I am thank you miss Gordon. Ok class today we would be doing solo performances” half the class cheered while the others started talking to their neighbors about what song there going to sing. While me my head slammed on the desk asking god why me. “And since the lovely and one and only promise is here today she would go first.” I looked up slowly and with the scariest look on my face even hell would freeze over by this look. His smile wavered a little but he still tried to keep it on his face. I felt someone put a comforting hand on my thigh “babe its ok I actually wanna here you sing. Please for me” he voice was soft and comforting it sent chills down my back. I looked at him and gave him a long look then just got up and walked away from him. While walking I could feel every eye on me. When I got to the front of the class I looked at all the kids and my gaze landed on Jayden he looked hurt maybe because I just walked away from him I looked at the teacher and just rolled my eyes at him and walked on to the stage that was in the front of the class. When I got on the stage I grabbed the mike and just started singing

After that I faded out and the whole class room fell into complete silence not a sound made. Noticing that I had my eyes on Jayden the whole time throughout the song, I let my eyes drift over the class to see some in complete shock and others in complete awe. I looked over to Mr. Blake to see he still had his arms crossed with a please look on his face I looked back up to Jayden to see him in complete shock mouth wide open and everything. I got up and it was then that everyone snapped out their trances and started clapping like crazy people at a concert. This is what I didn’t want, the attention. I loved to sing no one knew other than deejay and Mr. Blake that’s why I always avoid his class. I have no idea why I actually went up because every other time I would say no or just walk away. When I got to my seat I looked over at jayden and he gave me a kiss and put his hand over my shoulder “damn that was good
