After singing all the paper so he could be released 15 minutes later he finally comes out the door. “Come on its late let’s just go home” I said softly. I hoped he wouldn’t do this again, he promised me. I couldn’t help but be a little disappointed because I don’t want him to get hurt. “Prom please don’t be mad at me.” he said quietly his voice just above a whisper. I looked at nick (her cousin he was mentioned early in the story if you forgot) from over the hood of the car and shook my head “I’m not mad Nicholas I’m just disappointed that you broke the promise you made with me” I said and got in the car. He slid in the car after me and after a moment of silence he looked he finally broke it “prom it’s just that I’ve been going through some hard.” "Oh please Nicholas cut the bull shit I’m not in the mood for that shit to today. You could feed everybody else with that sympathy shit but no me. Drugs Nicholas. That’s what we do now drug. You promised me that you weren’t going to that shit again; it was a onetime thing out of curiosity. So don’t through that shit at me tonight. You’re my cousin, the only one I pretty much stick with. You see how everybody gave up on you Nicholas but I’m still right here with you. I only ask one thing from you Nicholas and that’s not to do drugs and look at yo ass. I have to wake up out of my damn bed to bail yo ass out of jail because you wanna go do drugs with friends. Nick your 15, come on” I said I turned to look at him. He had his head down clearly ashamed because he knew I was pissed. “I’m sorry promise but I gave into the temptation everybody else was doing it” he said as I pulled up to the elders house. “Pick your damn head up your not ashamed because the better person wouldn’t have even touched the drugs. Let me not be a hypocrite because I sell them but I would never stoop so low to do them. And everybody else is them, is that really the excuse you’re going to give me.” I said raising an eyebrow at him. “Ok remember this next time you see everybody else doing this” I said looking him in the eye so I made sure I got my message clear. “When yo ass get caught no one is going to be there for you. Not in the jail sail with you and damn sure not bailing you out. Remember how ashamed and dumb you feel” I finished. “I’m sorry promise” he said trying to make me not be mad at him. He hates when I’m mad at him, he wouldn’t give a fuck about anyone else but he always had that liking for me. “I will always have your back but next time you want to do drugs I gonna have them keep you in that damn juvenile center for 6 months so you learn your lesson. But for now you’re going to be staying at pops house for 6 months. You’re going to go to school in the morning, attend all your classes, and turn everything you have missing in. you will be getting to and from school on the bus and I better not hear that you started any fights. And after school you will be helping pops out at the shop and around his house. You’re not on my good side right now Nicholas so if anything is not done I will send you to your dad in Virginia to deal with your ass and you know how he feels about you already.” I finished giving him a look to know I mean business. “Ok prom, I promise I’ll get everything done just don’t be mad at me. I’m gonna stay on your good side and do everything you told me to do. Just don’t be mad at me” he finished softly. I shook my head and just looked at him “I’m not mad at you I’m real disappointed in you Nicholas and your making it to where I can’t trust you because your breaking promises to me.” I said. When he looked up to me I could see unshed tears in his eyes. “Promise don’t say that. Don’t say that to me please don’t. You can’t be disappointed in me you can’t. I don’t give a fuck about everybody else but not you. And you can trust me prom. Please just don’t say that” he finished softly with hurt clear in his voice as a single tear rolled down his cheek. “Straighten up cut the tears you know I love you” I said as I reached over and gave him a hug and kiss on the cheek. “And pops already knows what your suppose to be doing your lucky he knows the police that got you and the judge that trailed you. So when you go in there you better thank him and have respect.” I said giving him a stern look “yeah prom I know and I love you too see you in the morning” he said and got out the car “night cuz” he said as he popped back in the window. “Night. Oh and nick” yeah he said popping back in the window. “I’m pregnant” I said. His jaw dropped as he looked at me for a minute not saying anything. Slowly shaking his head getting out of his state of shock a little “you lucky I like that big king Kong you got as a man but I still need to give him a talk” he smiled and I just shook my head a little “yeah yeah just don’t say anything to anybody because I want to tell everybody so only you and of course Jayden knows” I said. “Ok I feel you night cuz and night little cuz love yaal” he said as he looked at my stomach and back up at me. I laughed at little and said night and drove back home just wanting to be in Jayden’s arms again.

-short I know but I just wanted to bring in nick because I haven’t really brought him up in the story. But he’s a little bad ass that always gets in trouble and promise bails him out because they were always the closest and who stuck but each other as much as they could.
