The whole week we all stayed at my brothers, everybody getting to know hope better and fall more in love with her. All the guys went out and bought her new toys and a whole new wardrobe. They fixed up a room for her all tinker bell and she fell in love with it. No one smokes in the house any more; they started making a little house in the back for smoking and drinking because weed and alcohol was not allowed in the house anymore. And no one is ever high or drunk around hope. Hope was happy she had a smile on her face all the time throughout the day. She went to her daily doctor visits and they said she was doing an outstanding job. She doesn’t take as many shots as she use to and less of her medicine other than when she is in pain. So far everything has been going great. I still stayed at my brother’s house but today I could tell I was going to be having a bad day. It was Tuesday morning and I was lying in bed before I got up to finally go to school. But the only thing I wanted to do was curl into a ball and cry. As I laid there my stomach started to feel weird. I laid a hand on top of it to try and soothe it. I started to feel a fluttering feeling like butterflies in my stomach flapping around and I finally came to a conclusion that it was my babies making their presents know for the first time. A small smile formed on my face as I rubbed my stomach thinking of my babies. But the more I thought of them the more I thought of Jayden and how I wanted him here with me to experience my babies moving around stomach with me, and then came the tears. I haven’t really cried for the past week almost two but now that’s all I wanted to do. My door creeping open slowly made me turn to see who came at one of my moments. “Promise” came hope’s small voice. “Come here sweetie” I said softly as I reached out my hands gesturing her to come to me. She walked over and curled her body into mine. Having her here calmed me down a little. “It’s ok mama” she said and raised her hand and rubbed my stomach lightly. She started calling me mama shortly after she came and it just stuck. When she rubbed my stomach the fluttering never ceased “it that the babies mama it feels weird” promise asked as she looked up to and made a face. “Yes it is honey” I said softly as a little chuckle came out. “mama are you going to school today” yes I am sweetie and so are you so we need to go get ready miss” I said as I bent down and kissed her forehead lightly. “Promise” she said and giggled as she started to squirm around as I tickled her sides. We finally got out of bed and got ready while I was giving hope a bath I seen a bruise on her arm. “Sweetie what happened here” I said pointing to the purplish bruise on her arm. “I fell down but it doesn’t hurt and I didn’t hurt myself” she said taking the rag from me and started to soap herself up. I nodded and just watched her until she finished and helped her rinse off and then brought her into the room to get her dressed. “your birthday’s next week sweetie what do you want to do" I said picking out a cute little jean skirt and white leggings with a pink and white shirt with a lot of silver glitter on it and then got her, her silver sandals. “I want to go to the beach mama with you and all my uncles and have cake” she said with a bright smile on her face as she started to put on her cloths. “Ok and what do you want for your birthday” I asked going to her dresser to take out a cute little pick hat to go on her head. “Ummm I want a bike and uncle Omar to teach me how to ride it” she said as I put the hat on her head. “Ok but you have to be extra nice to uncle Omar and give him that cute little face you always do so he won’t say no” I said already knowing that he would say yes even without the face she pulls on everyone. “Don’t worry mama trust me he won’t say no. do you think he could say no to this face” she said putting a hand on her hip and pointing to her face. “No I don’t think he will gorgeous now go ask uncle cedric to make you some breakfast while I go get ready. “ I said and put her on the floor as she ran out the room calling cedric’s name. While I was getting ready I just couldn’t shake this feeling like something was wrong. I checked over everything to see if anything was out of the loop and it wasn’t. So going down the stairs I tried to figure out what could be wrong. When I walked into the kitchen it was packed as always with greedy men stuffing their faces. "Good morning promise” they all greeted me as I walked into view and they went back to stuffing their faces. I went up to cedric as he was in front of promise watching her next to Omar. “What’s wrong” I asked as I got next to them. “Hope feels a little hot and she has this ginormous bruise on her arm. “yeah I know about the bruise already I seen it when I was giving her a bath and I did notice she was a bit hot but I just thought it was from her bath” I said going over to her to feel her forehead to notice it was a bit hot. I walked over to the medicine cabinet in the kitchen and took out the children’s Motrin I put in there last week. “How are you feeling sweetie” I asked her softly as I poured out the Motrin in a little spoon. “I feel alright” she said softly as she continued to eat. “well I’m still giving you this medicine missy open up” when I gave her, her medicine I made a mental note to call doctor Johnson to let him know about hope and she if she was alright, when I looked at the time I seen it was already 8:30 I had 15 minutes to get to school. “Omar can you bring promise to school please.” I asked as I got my bag of the floor. “Yeah go to school kid” he said take hope’s garbage to throw away. I gave her a kiss and told her I’ll she her after school and said by to everyone and left the house. That feeling still was there in the pit of my stomach and I could feel the fluttering in my stomach again as I started the car. I looked down at my stomach lifted my shirt from where you could see my baby bump clearly and rubbed my stomach a little. I reached into my bag and pulled out the ginger ale I put in there this morning and took a sip to calm my stomach a little. And then drove off to school. When I got into the school parking lot I seen I had two minutes before the bell rang and got out my car. Because it was raining a little everyone was already in the school building. I pulled out my umbrella and walked into the school entrance. As I walked in I got surprise looks from everyone I passed by and when they looked at my stomach I could see they were shocked even more and whispers immediately started to float around. I just ignored them all and walked to my locker not really having the energy to tell them to fuck off. When I reached my locker I seen Danielle, chasiti, nick, and deejay there already. They were the only ones that knew I was coming today and for that I was glad. ”oh my gosh look at you, you look so big since the last I seen you” Danielle said coming up to me and giving me a hug “hi my sweet god children” she said and bent down and kissed my stomach. “you're so stupid” I laughed and took her hand laid it on my stomach so she could feel the fluttering going around in my stomach ”what the fuck is that” she said making a face. “Your god children” I said slowly raising an amusing eye brow. He face brightened up immediately when she heard this. “Move girl let me feel my nieces and nephews.” Chasiti said pushing Danielle out the way so she could lay her hand on my stomach also. “Awwww I can’t wait to meet them” she said her eyes fixed on my stomach. Deejay came over and pushed chasiti and Danielle out the way and picked me up and hugged me “I missed you lil sis” he said into my hair. I laughed and hugged him back. As nick took me out of deejay’s hands and into his. “How is my big cousin doing on this fine day” he asked as he twirled around a little. “Good now put me down you make me feel like the little cousin” I said and he just laughed but still put me down. When I looked around I seen the halls were empty other a couple of students rushing to class. I didn’t even know the bell rand I said to myself. “Promise” Danielle said softly. Just by tone of voice and the look on her face I already knew what she wanted to talk about. “Have you talked to him” she asked as everyone looked at me waiting for an answer. “No” I said softly avoiding all of their gazes. “Come on guys lets go to class” I said desperately wanting to change the subject. They all looked at each other and then slowly nodded their heads as we all started to walk to our classes. When we rounded the corner Danielle spoke “don’t get mad promise but” as she started to talk I looked up to see an all too familiar figure standing against some lockers and a girl next to him in shorts that should be classified as panties and a tight top that was cut at the top way to low to were you could see everything but her nipples as the stop was raised to above her belly button with about 6’ heals on. Whatever Danielle was about to say was cut off as they looked up to us. They girl having complete irritation on her face as Jayden was frozen in complete shock as he looked me up and down. When the girls she this an ugly sneer came on her face “can you guys please get on with your lives we were about to do something very important” she asked and the voice was so familiar that I knew I knew from somewhere, but where. It finally all clicked it was the damn girl that called his phone. I kept my face blank as I only raise one eye brown not letting one emotion through. Jayden finally came out of his state of shock as the girl laid a hand on his arm. And on the inside I was to the point of boiling but I still didn’t let an emotion through. He took a step towards me “promise” he breath out. “You know her” the girl asked looking me up and down in disgust. “Awwww she’s so ugly and fat” she said her voice coated with disgust and anger. But before anyone of them could say anything I cut them all to it “please, bitch keep talking and I’ll fuck you up. Pregnant or not” I said ready to kill this chick because she is the cause between me and Jayden not talking right now. “Oh please, come on Jayden lets” Jayden swiftly turned around to glare at her angrily. The look her gave her and her flinching and stumbling back a little “no lets us do nothing. I don’t fuck with hoes like already told your hard headed ass. And say something slick about my baby mama one more time I’ll fuck you myself” he said to her in a cold hard voice. When he turned back around his gaze softened and he took a hesitant step forward “promise I’m so” he got cut off by my phone ringing and thank god for that because I was not ready to be listening to Jayden’s apologies yet no matter how much I miss him. When I looked down to my phone I seen it was Omar. “Hello” I asked confused. “Promise right as you left hope got sick and just started throwing up all over the place and when she finally stopped her nose started bleeding and that shit just wouldn’t stop, no matter what the fuck we did. And she was burning up when we took her temperature it was 104 so we took her to the hospital, and doctor Johnson took her in immediately he said it wasn’t looking good and to come in” he said quickly. My breathing started to become heavy and I got a dizzy “ok I’m coming right now” I choked out. I turned to Danielle “I have to go I’ll call you later nick come on” I said taking his hand because he as the only one who knew about hope right now and started rushing down the hall as fast as I could wobbling a little holding my stomach and ignoring all of Jayden’s calls for me. When reached the car I gave nick the keys seeing as I could drive right now not in this state and he speed off. The whole ride I prayed that my little hope will be alright because I don’t know what I would do if I lost her too.
