Chapter 29

I went to bed upset. If there's one thing everyone knows about me I hate talking about my problems and that's why Mark never asked what's wrong. 

"What are you doing?" Shit, I've woken Mark up. 

"Sorry I woke you up" I kept rustling around. 

"Don't worry...now seriously, what are you doing?" 

"I'm trying to find a carrier bag to put on my hand" I laughed a little. 

"What?!" 

"Well Nikki Bella shook my hand yesterday and I don't want to wipe it off!" Mark fell off the bed laughing, I ended up on the floor laughing. Who needs girls? 

I did shower with a bag on my hand, even though it was hard... 

"Meet me downstairs, okay?" Mark quickly looked up. 

"Sure" So I left the room just as Sam did. The last fucking person I wanted to see. She smiled at me. YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME?! Why are girls like this?! Well I'm not having it! "So last night you have a fucking go at me and now you're acting like nothing's wrong?" 

She suddenly stopped and looked at me. "I think you stand corrected. You're the one that had a go at me, not you. And today I'm not having your shit bring me down when I meet my future bosses. If you want to fuck it up because you're holding a grudge over me then go ahead. Right now I'm focussing on me, so if you would please move out with my fucking way" She gave me a smile again and then pushed passed. 

I just didn't know how to react. Okay yeah I did have a go at her but that's only because she was pissing me off. And today we're meeting our future bosses, SINCE WHEN?! I never find anything out. 

"Are you two okay?" Mark said making me stop about my thoughts. You know what? No I'm not okay, and today I'm going to voice my opinions. 

"NO! Sh-" 

"We're both fine!" She faked smiled. "Just a little bit nervous about meeting the authority" She said kicking me under the table. 

"You'll be fine! Just be yourselves" He smiled, although his wasn't fake. 

I decided to let it go and just focus on what I'm meant to be doing today. We apparently are meeting Vince, Steph and HHH today, so I need to focuses on what to say. I know one thing that I am going to tell them, about my nanna. Even if they're not the most sympathetic people in the world they still need to know. 

"Oh sorry" I said as I bumped into someone. 

"Why do we always meet like this Zach?" I spun round and Eva was stood there. 

"Ahh I don't know" I said laughing. 

"So what's going on today?" She asked. 

"I've suddenly been informed that I'm meeting the authority today" 

"Oh wow! So this is the big break for you?" 

"I guess so" I said smiling. 

"Well I'll give you some tips to win them over if you like?" She smiled at me. It’s hard to say no because her smile is pretty cute! 

"Walk and talk" So that's exactly what we did. 

Someone bumped into me. 

"WATCH WHERE YOU'R-" But I couldn't finish my sentence because there he was, stood right in front of me. He was scarier in real life. 

"Are you Zach?" I'm not going to argue with him. 

"Yeah..." 

"You're wanted by Vince" He started walking away. "Come on!" 

"Would you please come with me? I don't feel safe with Kane on my own..." I whispered to Eva. 

"Sure...on one condition, let me stay with you tonight?" She looked at me. 

"Yeah you can stay, but Mark won’t let you in the room with me and him. You'll have to share with Sam" She didn't look too happy about that... 

She just walked off. "Are you coming or what then?" She turned and carried on walking. I ran and caught up with her. 

"Thanks" I managed to mutter. 

We walked around the corner and Sam was already there with Nikki Bella. Oh my fucking God. This woman is SO hot! Eva then sat down next to me so I could no longer see her, I forgot about her...

The authority then walked past. Vince doing his usual weird walk, I thought he only did that on camera...guess I was wrong. HHH came after him, a guy I admired growing up. There's one dream of mine in the business and it’s to have a match with HHH at WrestleMania, championship on the line or not. Then came Stephanie, this woman is HOT too! Yes I'm a guy, and I pretty much find EVERY diva hot. Evan Mae Young...

It was so quiet, nobody wanted to say anything. I sat and thought of what I was going to say, but just in the middle of my thoughts a small lady with glasses came out. Me being stupid I just thought she was passing. 

"Zachary Brookes please" boy I was wrong!

She had said my name, my name...right now I was just sat there not knowing what to do. Mark suddenly nudged me, shit don't want to keep the authority waiting! 

I got up, everyone was looking at me. Well I say everyone there were about 4 people. Mark and Eva stood up with me, then I was being even stupider. I thought they were coming in with me! 

No they didn't, Mark shook my hand. "I know you can do this, don't blow it!" He whispered in my ear. Wait...does he not think I can do this? Maybe he thinks I'm going to fuck it up? I shook my thoughts from my mind. I turned round and Sam was looking at me. She smiled and mouthed "Good luck" she was right. She isn't letting my shit get to her. I smiled back. I think Eva got jealous because the next thing I know I've got her placing her lips on my cheek. I mean as much as that was very nice, I felt a little weird... 

I shook it all from my mind and walked in. They were all sat there staring at me. 

"Zachary or Zach?" HHH asked. 

"Zach" "Please" I suddenly added. 

"You seem a little fidgety, is everything all right?" Steph asked. This is why HHH fell in love with her I guess. She's so caring and down to Earth. 

"Actually no I'm not" I sat forward. "I need to tell you something" I thought for a second. Is this really the right choice? Should I be telling them? I had to though. 

"Go ahead boy, we've not got all day" Vince spoke up. 

"Dad, please don't, just because you don't have a heart other men do" HHH looked like he was trying not to laugh. Even though I couldn't argue with him, Steph defiantly would. 

"Well I was pretty excited coming over here" I began. "But just after the first day, I got a call from my family back in the UK. They told me my nanna had passed away" A tear fell from my eye. I looked at them, they weren't laughing or mocking me. Not even Vince was. Steph placed a hand on my shoulder. "As much as this opportunity is awesome, I don't feel right now that I'm in the right frame of mind to be training to become a WWE superstar". 

"Well I've heard great things about you though Zach" HHH suddenly said. "I think we should bring Mark in" He got up and went out of the room. 

Mark came in, although he didn't look happy with me. "Now Mark, we understand that Zach's grandmother has passed away?" Steph said. 

"But because you made him out so well we still want to give this guy a shot" HHH said. 

"I know!" Vince suddenly spoke after not hearing him for about 45 minutes. "Do you know when the funeral is?" 

"No" 

"Well when you find out come back to one of us. Because if you're really as good as he's making out, I'll probably give you a contract. And just so you don't miss your grandmother's funeral, we'll fly back to the UK so you can make it!" And with that he shook my hand.
