An opportunity gained

Chapter 7

I tightly strapped my seatbelt on and clung to the arms. I've heard about planes and the stories are never great, but I'm going to have to get used to this because if they want me to become a diva then I'll have to do a lot of travelling. It’s an 11 hour flight so I'm going to try and sleep for most of the way, well that was the plan. We were in first class so it was quiet. My first flight and I get to travel in style; you know I could get used to this. 

"Hello everybody this is your captain speaking! If you would all please put your seatbelts on then we can enjoy our flight, thank you" I tightened it a little bit more just to make sure I was safe. I don't know if I'm going to enjoy this flight or not. 

"Sam are you okay?" Zach grabbed hold of my hand.

"Ermm...not really, I've never been on a plane before" I said stupidly then looked down embarrassed. 

"You'll be fine, I've got you" With that sweet smile on his face he held my hand. I could feel a tingling sensation running through my body; I know we're meant to be together. And maybe with this trip it will happen! 

Suddenly we were moving, why the fuck did I choose a window seat?! I started breathing really fast, oh god! I hope I don't pass out!! 

"Sam its fine" And then he squeezed my hand. I started to calm down, and then I looked into those beautiful blue eyes and smiled. Even though I was still scared, it was nice to know Zach was here.  

"Okay guys when we get there we're going to check in to the hotel then grab some food. After that if you wish you can go to sleep, its probably going to be pretty late anyway and you'll be jet lagged" 

"What's jet lagged?" They both look at each other and laughed. 

"No seriously, what is it?" Then they stopped and looked at me again. 

"You don't know what it is?" Zach looked at me trying not to laugh. I honestly felt hurt. 

"I've just told you I've never flown so how the fuck would I know?!" I hissed at him. He suddenly jumped because he's never heard me swear before. 

"Oh yeah, sorry. Ermm...well it’s when you're on a long flight like this one and when you go to a different country the times are different so your body isn't used to it so you feel tired all of the time" Was that so hard to explain without laughing at me? 

"So anyway...you guys will have a few days to look around everywhere and you will get shown to the arena so you can hang out there as well and get to know people you could be working with" I squeaked a little.

"Calm down" Mark chuckled.

"Sorry I'm just super excited"

"Yeah we can tell" Zach chuckled.

"And after that, that's when the hard work begins" And that's when we sat forward and stopped laughing because we knew this the rest of our life’s.

For the rest of the flight I slept. I had lots of different dreams, some were I made it and the rest of my life was great, then there were others that I didn't make it and I went home but I didn't have a home, my mum and brother had abandoned me. What would I do if I didn't make it? What would happen if I went home but everything was different? Everyone forgot my name and nobody was there for me? Suddenly someone was shaking me.

"Sam! Sam! Wake up!" My eyes shot open and Zach was right in front of me, people were looking at me weirdly as well.

"Are you alright?!" He seemed concerned which made me smile.

"I am now"

"Good! I was worried about you" Aww isn't he a little cutie?!

"Well honestly I'm fine"

"What were you screaming at though?" Now this is where I could lie or tell the truth?

"I was...ermm...upset because I've left my brother..." It isn't technically a lie, I am upset.

"Ahh okay. I miss my sister too"

"You have a sister?"

"Yeah, she's my world, no one can replace her" Well there goes my chance of being his girlfriend...

"That's cute" A smile was forced on my face. We sat in silence for what seemed hours but it was only a few minutes.

"This is your captain speaking please put your seatbelts on as we're about to land, thank you" Well I survived the flight now will I survive what's going to get put in front of me?
