15. Two More Clues At Once

The next day Alfie returned from the hospital and we had a big announcement from our drama class.

"We are going to do a play." The teacher had said. "This is required for everyone of you if you want to pass this class."

Amber raised her hand. "Can we do a play about a little girl name Sally and her parents hid treasure  in the house and her parents die because the caretaker killed them?"

Oh my god. Amber just summarized everything that happened with Sarah as a kid. Or should I saw 'Sally'.

"Good idea Amber!" The teacher said. "Well this play will not be happening until a week from now. Amber, your assignment is to get with a partner and work on the script. Everyone else is to practice this play."

The bell rang and Patricia and I walked to Amber. "What were you thinking?!" Patricia yelled at her.

"Well I think it's a good idea so we can show Victor that we know what he is doing." Amber explained

"Amber." Patricia yelled. "You don't know what Victor can do to us! What if he kills us as well?"

"Well, I didn't think of that." Amber said. "Well we still have to do it either way now."

That day the Sibuna gang were in the room. Amber and Patricia were working on the scripts. Fabian and I were researching our clue. Fabian went to Google and typed in: Where is the place that Yesterday always follow Tomorrow?

He clicked the first link. A whole atricle came out. Fabian skimmed through the article.

"The place where Yesterday always follows tomorrow is.... A dictionary?!" Fabian said.

"The Arabic dictionary!" I yelled out. When Sarah died she gave me a box. Full with paper. Some.hieroglyphic readers. Newspaper. And a dictionary. The title said "Arabic Dictionary".

I pulled out the Arabic Dictionary and placed it on the bed.

"There's a problem, though." I said. "I can't open it. It's like it's sealed or something."

"Nina look!" Amber yelled. My locket started glowing. The side of the book also started glowing. There were two peices of medals that held the book shut. And of course an imprint of my locket. As I reached my locket to open the dictionary Amber pulled me away.

"I want to try." She suggested. I lended her my locket and she placed the locket on the medal. But then she let go of it really quick and yelled.

"Ow!" She yelled as she sucked on her finger. "It burnt."

I picked up the locket and it was nowhere near hot. I placed it on the medal and the Dictionary became loose.

"Weird." I said. "Maybe it only works on me." I opened the book and looked inside. The pages were cut in the inside into a square. But on the last page that held those pages were words. A riddle.

"Above the eyes of Horus a globe and hollow lie, two right for eternity and just one left to die"

"Oh. My. God." Amber said. "Someone is going to die! Two right for eternity! That's Victor! Drinking that elixer to become imortal. Maybe he's a vampire and want's to kill us all!"

"Amber!" Fabian chuckled. "This isn't Twilight."

"Whatever." Patricia said. "What does the riddle mean?"

"Above the eyes of horus?" I questioned. "Fabian and I will try to crack this riddle tomorrow at midnight downstairs. We still have to figure out the scripts."

The next day at school, what happened in drama class. Was a lot of drama! Everyone walked in the classroom and of course Amber is always stuck to her boyfriend Mick. Anyways we were in the middle of our immatations when Amber started yelling at Mara.

"Why should I even care what Mick thinks!" Amber said.

"Amber, nothing was going on I promise! It was just... a kiss. But I didn't have feelings for it." Mara explained.

"What?" Mick stood up. "Our kiss didn't mean anything to you?"

Amber pushed Mick and said "I can't believe you! I'm through with your lies! It's over! But I guess it was way over a long time ago." And with that Amber ran outside the room crying.

Then that's when I saw Patricia pull out a soda out of her bag and started shaking it.

"Wait Patricia no!" I yelled. Too late. She opened the soda and sprayed it on Mick.

"You filthy pig" Patricia said. "You're not worth Amber's tears."

"Break it up you guys!" The teacher pulled everyone away.

"We would if Patricia wouldn't butt out!" Mara yelled. And well soon enough the whole class got into a fight. Fabian and I left and saw Amber crying in the corner.

I bent down and patted her back. "It's okay." I said.

"Boy's are just stupid." I hugged her. "Don't let any guy bring you down."

Well that made Fabian very uncomftorable.

After school Mara, Mick, and Amber got suspended so that meant no play for them. The play was tomorrow. And everything was set up.

It was midnight I got out of bed and I went downstairs. I saw Fabian downstairs. He looked at the stairs.

"I think I cracked the code." Fabian said. "The stairs have eyes of horus. And look! On every corner of the stool there is a shaped globe."

"But are they hollow?" I asked. The riddle said 'Above the eyes of Horus a globe and hollow lie'.

Fabian knocked on all the globes and found one that sounded hollow.

"Okay well what about the last part of the riddle? two right for eternity and just one left to die." I asked.

"Maybe I turn it twice to the right. And left once." Fabian suggested.

"You could try." I said.

Fabian turned the globe. "One.. Two.. Three.."

The globe poped up. Fabian pulled it up and stuck to it was another piece of those figures. This one was even shiny. It was a square and on top was little numbers that you can move like a safe. When it moves the numbers. A code.

Fabian unhooked the piece from the globe. He placed the globe back and examined the piece.

"What do we have here?" Fabian said holding up the piece.

"Yes." We heard a sarcastic laugh. We pointed our flashlights to Victor! "What DO you have there?"

"Give it to me now. I shall expose of it." He said.

Fabian gave it to him. Victor examined it. "The ankh pieces. NO! NO! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING!"
