16. The Play

"NO! NO! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING!"

Fabian and I shot glances at eachother. What was going to happen to us?

"Go to your rooms now!" Fabian and I ran to our rooms. Amber asked what had happened.

"Victor. He took the ankh piece." I said.

"Ankh piece?" She asked.

"It's the things that we keep finding in the house." I explained. "Okay. Okay... breath. We have to come up with a way on how to get the ankh piece back."

"I can search for it while everyone's at the play." She said.

Patricia comes in the room breathing heavily.

"You guys!" She whispered. "I got a letter from Joy! Look!" She had a piece of paper. She held the paper in front of the mirror and it read. JOY ROW 2, SEAT 1.

"Row 2, seat 1?" I asked.

"Ugh." She said. "She's going to be in the audiance! Joy is coming back! But, how?"

"Maybe someone's helping her?" I asked.

"Rufus." Patricia whispered.

Everyone was getting ready for the play. I was Sarah. Fabian was Victor. Amber was suspended. Patricia was Anubis. Jerome and Alfie were a camel.

Everyone started taking their seats. Patricia was peeking her head out.

"What are you doing?" Fabian asked.

"Looking for Joy." She said. "She said she'd be here."

"What Joy?" Fabian was confused. "Joy is here?"

"I'll explain later." Patricia said.

Victor was still at the house and we were waiting for Amber to get our ankh piece.

"Ladies and gentle men. Put your hands together..." I heard the speaker. I was the opening act.

"5 seconds Nina!" The man yelled at me.

The currents opened and I looked around to see if I found Joy. But her seat was empty.

"My name is Sarah." I said. "My Daddy and Mum have gone and left me. They left me in this dark house with a bad man. They left me in Anubis. I man Sarah, my story has been untold."

Then Fabian comes in. He wore a black coat and was holding a fake Raven.

"Sarah!" He yelled. "You have 5 minutes precisely and i wont want to hear a pin.... drop." He reached into his pocket and let the pin fall to the ground. He laughed evilly and left.

The currents closed. The next scene was going to start in a minute. Patricia was on next.

"Did you see Joy at all?" She asked me.

"No." I said. "Maybe she's just running late."

"Yeah Maybe."

"Patricia! You're on!" Fabian said.

Patricia went to the stage and the currents opened. She looked around nervously and opened her mouth in shock.

"JOY!"
