I nuzzle myself further into the couch and in between the pillows, trying to get myself comfortable. It is taking a lot for me to just fall asleep right now, and if Macy didn't insist on me having to watch the movie with her, then I totally would be fast asleep. I'm not even interested in it anyways.
"Seriously...why did you pick this movie? It's sucks. I mean..." I start to point out one of the flaws in this movie when Macy stops me by blowing a puff of air out of her hand towards me.
"Did you see that? Those are the fucks I give, so stop whining. This movie is better than you give it credit to be." She folds her leg up underneath her other one and continues to watch the dreadful movie.
Who thought making a movie about wizards was going to be good? Like come on. How is a teenage boy the chosen one out of all of them who has to fight every single battle that happens in that stupid school? If I was the curly headed girl and red headed guy, I would have ended my friendship with him as soon as I could. I wouldn't have time for all that crap they go through.
"Whatever floats your boat. I'm going to get more popcorn...want any?" I grab the empty bowl off of the couch and bring it along with me into the kitchen. I am most certainly not going to suffer through this on an empty stomach.
"Nah...I'm okay, thanks!" She responds with a much cheerful attitude than moments before.
While in the kitchen, I hear a slight ding come in the living room. I don't pay much attention to it though because chances are it is some guy texting Macy for the hundreth time. I just proceed to finish making my movie snack.
"Hey Rach. You have a text from someone. Want me to read it to you?" Oh I guess the ding was my phone. Without thinking I accept her offer. "It's from Asher, and he wants to know what you doing tonight...? I thought you weren't on good terms with this guy after last night?"
"Wait what? He texted me? Hold on...don't respond to him...I'm coming!" I quickly pour the popcorn and throw away the bag, allowing me to try and get back over to the couch before Macy can do anything.
I literally leap over the back of it just in time for her to press send. Damn.
"Here. I told him that you weren't doing anything." She hands my phone with a grin. Does she never listen?
"Uh hello?! I told you not to say anything!"
"Will you relax? He just wanted to know if you were busy. It's not a big deal!" She becomes uninterested with the situation and puts her focus back on the movie.
Before I know it, my phone is buzzing in my hand. I instinctively look down at it and see his name flashing across the screen. Great. Mace what have you gotten me into? Before answering, I take it and myself into our bedroom, so I don't bother Macy.
"Hello?" I answer in my typical sweet 'phone voice' and close the door behind me.
"Hey! So you don't have any plans for tonight...huh?" Asher begins to talk to me as if that fight between us never happened. I guess I'll just go along with it though.
"Um, well. I guess not. Why do you ask?"
"Would you be up to doing something tonight...with me?" I almost laugh at his offer, but I don't when I realize he was completely serious because there was no laughter coming from his end. "Well?"
I honestly do not believe spending any time with this guy will be any good. After our fight, he and I should not be together. Why would he want to see me anyways? He was incredibly pissed at me, and I'm sure there's nothing stopping us from having the same thing happen if we do something tonight.
