Rachel's POV--
My eyebrows pull together in confusion how Amy just begins to go on about her and Asher. I know for a fact everything she is trying to convince me of is completely false. Asher would have told me if anything is still going on between the two of them.
"Can you please stop? Just stop. I'm done listening to all this bullshit you're trying to feed me. You and Asher are done." I make sure to put an amphasis on my last word.
"None of this is bullshit but don't go around thinking you and Asher are any better off then me and him."
Just when I am about to tell this crazy bitch everything I'm thinking, my dad knocks on my door. My parnets never fail to come in the very moment something's about to happen. The funny thing is that my dad only wants to know if I need anything from the grocery store. I keep a list on the fridge along with the rest of the family, so there's no point to ask. I guess he gets an 'E' for effort though. Once he leaves, I uncover the bottom of my phone to continue on with Amy.
"Why can't you get it through your head that Asher wants me now? He has since we met. You've been old news for all of May, June, and close to most of July. Got it?" Unexpectedly, I hear her high pitched laugh on the other end.
"You're kidding me, right? Do you even know how you two met? I'm guessing you don't know the full story."
More fucking secrets? I'm so sick and tired of people keeping things from others, especially me. Why can't anyone tell me the truth from the beginning?
"Oh please share. Apparently, I don't know shit about anything about anyone. What's a better time to find out everything than when I'm on the other side of the world?" Every single word is laced with sarcasm.
"Well, princess, the night you and Asher eledgedly met was when he and I got into one of our biggest fights. He became so angry that he left the house, yelling that he was going to fuck the first slut he saw at some party Kyle wanted to go to." She stops, and I can practically hear the smile in her voice. "Oh and if you didn't catch on, you're the slut."
Letting out air I didn't realize I was holding in, I prepare myself to speak. However, Amy is clearly not done.
"Before he left though, I told him I wanted proof of him getting with someone else. He took a sip of his beer and told me to be expecting prrof when he got home. Turns out your little phone number and a few photos did just the trick," she says, continuing her horrific story.
Quickly after she finishes, my phone vibrates against my ear. Right then, I see I have a text from Amy.
"There's a surprise for you in case you think I'm lying about this too."
I instantly clcik on the text message icon, still able to speak to Amy through speaker phone. My jaw practically drops to the floor. Right in my hands are the pictures of Asher and I. Why am I seeing these again? Kyle told both of us that he deleted all the ones he had, but no at least it makes sense as to why he had them in the first place.
"Amy, why-"
"Love hurts, sweetie. Looks like you and I have both been kicked to the curb by the same guy. Does that make us like sister wives or something?" Her laugh gets cut off by the click of her hanging up the phone.
All I can seme to do is look down at the pictures, thinking about how Asher and I's relationship has just been a big game to him. I was only a piece of his plan to get back at Amy. How do I even know that these past months meant anything to him or if it was an extension to getting revenge? I'm sure Kyle was in on most of this as well. Do they get together and make fun of me when I'm not around? What if Amy and Macy became friends for that same reason? I'm just the lauging stock of the group obviously, but that ends now.
---
"I can't believe you're leaving me again this summer. It's just as hard as the first time." My mom drops my bag onto the driveway next to our feet, quickly wrapping her arms around me just after.
"Mom, I'll be back in like three weeks. School starts the twenty-fourth, and I told you I would be back by the twenty-second." I try my best to wiggle out of her grip, but it does no good.
"I know, I know. Hopefully, time will go by fast, so I can have my baby back home for good."
The thought of coming back home here sounds much better than I thought it would. If I didn't already have the ticket to go back to the states, I most likely wouldn't be going. The last week here had been emptied of all contact between me and everyone I know on that side of the world. I really needed time to think about everything that was said, and to be honest, I still don't feel any better than I did that night I founf out about everything. On top of the drama between them, I have what happened with Luke pressing down on me as well. For now, that incident has been pushed to the side until the issue with the current guy I am- or was- dating is resolved.
"Hey sis, you were really going to let dad take you away without saying goodbye to your big brother?" Greg slowly makes his way out of the house, still trying his best to get used to using crutches to get around.
"No, of course not."
Meeting him half way, I embrace him into a needed sibling hug. It's been good to have him home from the hospital, especially since I was actually able to enjoy his company before having to leave again. However, he promised that he and I will be spending much more time together whenI get back at the end of the month, which I could not be more excited about.
"Alright, you ready to hit the road, Rach? We need to make sure you get to the airport on time." My ad calls from the car, causing Greg and I to break apart from our hug.
I give my family members one last wave before gettin into the vehicle. Spending time with the people I love has been a much needed and wanted break from the crazinees I am about to put myself back into. I have no idea how these next three weeks are going to be, but I assume I better prepare for literally anything.
Ahh I can't believe we're almost done with this story! Can you? Don't worry, now that she's going back, there's still going to be plenty of drama, but I bet you didn't expect Amy and Rachel's conversation to go the way it did, did you? Sorry, it had to happen! Love y'all and be sure to comment, vote, and share!
I'm really counting on you to make these last few chapters the ones with the most reads, votes, and comments! My readers are amazing, and I know y'all can do it! :)
