Introduction– The Story so Far
In the small town of Ipswich there is a secret – a secret passed down from each generation to the next, shared between five bloodlines. The five bloodlines were blessed with amazing supernatural powers but with every good thing that is given, there is a price to be considered.
The powers they were blessed with came with a price, an addiction, if the addiction was fed too heavily they would pay the price, they would age from their thirst and need for power. The five families often referred to as 'the Power' formed a covenant of silence to protect themselves and those closest to them from persecution. The names of the families blessed with such a gift were the: Danvers, Parrys,Garwins, Simms and Putnams.
One day, a long time ago a member of one of the bloodlines broke the covenant they agreed to. They abused their powers, their hunger for power posed a danger not only to themselves but to others, including the other families within the covenant, so they were banished. To this day the remaining four families believed the exiled fifth bloodline died out through the years that followed, their bloodline gone. Although it is not long before they learn that isn't quite true, in fact the Putnam line was very much alive and still as power hungry.
But the 'Sons of Ipswich' as they're known to others around town were able to defeat the living Putnam descendant, Chase Collins who arrived at Spencer hell bent on taking the powers from them. Caleb, with a little help from his father and the power he gained when he turned 18, ascending to the full power he was entitled to, managed to destroy the last of the Putnam line. He saved not only his own life that night but the lives of his 'brothers' and his then girlfriend, Sarah and while no body was found to show the demise of Chase they believed him dead and their problems over. They were free to return to the lives they once knew
