Note From Author - Just wanted to apologise for this chapter taking so long to be posted up, it is my first two weeks at Uni and it's been manic.

Anyway here is the new chapter, I hope you all like it, let me know what you think of the story so far. Also let me know if you've enjoyed the different viewpoints from different characters and whether it's something you'd like me to continuing doing and if there are any characters in particular you'd like to see a chapter or two written for.

Wish you all the best,

Enjoy

Chapter Nine – Rainfall

I glanced from the dark road lit up from the car's headlights to Belle again wishing she would just say something. She sat so still in the passenger seat, her arms crossed under her chest as she stared out the windscreen, I could sense the anger and fear bubbling under the surface even as she tried to keep her face void of emotion. Pulling up in front of the dorms building I turned off the car turning to her catching her wrist as she moved to open the door.

"Belle, just talk to me. Please. I know what Caleb's mum said was strange but..."

"Strange? It was crazy!" She snapped turning to me, her anger finally showing as her usually sharp light blue eyes grew darker as she glared at me. She frowned as she closed her eyes leaning back for a moment. "I'm sorry...I'm not angry at you...I...I need to go inside." She muttered pulling from my grasp before jumping out the car into the pouring rain. I sighed regretting ever taking her to Caleb's so early before following her, ignoring the fact I was drenched within seconds never mind the fact I was creating pools of water across the foyer as I moved after her.

"Belle. Hey, I'm not leaving you alone when you're clearly upset." I called finally catching up to her as we made it to her floor.

"Reid..." She sighed turning to me, her lips twitching at the corners as she tried to hide a smile. "...you look like a drowned rat." She chuckled lightly as I acted offended, relieved to see her mood lightening.

"And what does that make you, huh?" I smirked noting she was as soaked as I was; she pushed a wet curl from her face and pulled my hoody tighter around her before turning on her heel, heading for her room. "Please, can I stay with you, least until I know you're okay?" I asked as I watched her fumble with her keys and the lock.

"Fine...but I don't want to talk about Caleb's mother or what she said." She pinned me with a serious look as she took her attention away from the lock.

"Deal. Here, move over." Taking her keys from her shaking hands I quickly unlocked the door standing aside to let her in smirking as she rolled her eyes at me. Closing the door after us I frowned as I turned back to find the room empty. "Belle?"

"Here." She smirked reappearing from the bathroom holding two towels, handing me one before placing hers on the back of her desk chair. She wobbled on one leg as she leaned one hand on the wall and used the other to unzip her boot, dropping it under her desk before switching feet and repeating.

"You know sitting would be easier." I rubbed at my hair as I watched her thoroughly amused.

"Yeah but I'm soaked and I don't want my bed soaked." She glanced at me as she took off my hoody placing it over the chair and picking up the towel, raising an eyebrow in my direction. I looked down to see Kate's covers were slowly soaking up the wetness from my jeans.
