"Would you please stop pacing? You're making me anxious." Tyler muttered as he shut another book tossing it into the growing pile of books my father heaved over for us to look through. He hoped one of them might contain some answers on how to rid Belle of Chase's spells. I paused turning to him fully, frowning at how exhausted he looked. He'd been down here reading through my father's books for the whole night, the others had all migrated upstairs to their beds around three in the morning.

"Why don't you go up to bed, you look knackered?"

"No, I'm good here. She...she will call you Reid. She'll be back here with us in no time. I know she will." Forcing a smile on my face I nodded in agreement wishing I was as confident as he was that she'd come back to me. "Reid."

"What if we're wrong? What if he hasn't spelled her and..."

"Reid come on, you two have been getting close for ages don't go overthinking things and pushing away what you feel for her. Chase has done something to her, we saw that when she reacted to you hurting him."

"Why hasn't she called for me then? It's been hours since I spoke to her." I dropped into a nearby arm chair feeling deflated as my headache made itself known making me screw my eyes shut as I tried to ignore the sharp stabbing pain.

"She probably had to build up the courage to confront him, remember she grew up with him. She thought she could trust him, why don't you get some sleep it might help?"

"No...I'm not sleeping till she's safe here with us. What if he did something to her? He's not going to like her confronting him about lying."

"I doubt he'll admit he's lied to her, he'll most likely try and twist things round to benefit his story." I met his gaze as he yawned and flopped back into his chair. "You heard your parents and Evelyn, he'd never hurt her."

"That was back then..." I flinched sitting up straight as a sharp pain shot through my head.

"REID!"

"Reid?"

"Belle. We got to go." I hissed jumping to my feet already rushing out the room

"Go where? Reid? CALEB! POGUE!" Tyler called after me as I charged out into the bitter late afternoon air. "Reid just wait a minute for the others." I turned about to argue that we didn't have time when I saw Caleb and Pogue stubble to an unsteady stop behind Tyler, Pogue still in the process of pulling on a t-shirt while Caleb was only in the jogging pants he went to sleep in.

"What's happening?"

"Did we find her?" Ignoring their questions, I grabbed an arm of each while Tyler grabbed their other and I concentrated on Belle's call, letting my powers take me to her.

I turned looking around the quiet residential street my frustration building as I failed to see any sign of Belle.

"Reid?" I ignored Tyler turning again to look in all directions, desperate to see Belle.

"She called. I heard her call me. Why isn't she here? I know I heard her." I hissed storming down the street glancing around for an indication she was here.

"Reid, are you sure she called?" Caleb called and I felt my anger bubble as I saw him looking at Tyler pointedly.

"I'm not lying. I heard her. She was here! I know she was."

"Okay, hey just calm down okay. If she's here we'll find her." Pogue offered reaching out to squeeze my shoulder.

"You don't understand!" I hissed unable to control the frustration, worry and anger churning inside me ready to explode at any moment. "Her call...she was terrified...what if he's hurt her? What if he's done something to her because I told her to confront him? Where is she?" I yelled swiping away Pogue's arm as I span around again.
