"Belle." My eyes slowly opened as I heard my name being called softly. I frowned as I lifted my head, 00:33 lit up brightly on my alarm clock while the darkness outside confirmed the late time. "Belle." I moved to sit up only to feel an arm tighten around my waist. Glancing back I couldn't help smiling lightly as I saw Reid asleep. Slowly easing myself out of his grasp I glanced around the room, rubbing the sleep from my eyes as I searched for the source calling my name. "Belle." I slowly opened the door, stepping out into the cold hallway feeling something pulling at me, drawing me forward. I shivered as I stepped into the stairwell looking down over the banister for signs of life. "Belle. I've missed you." I jumped turning to find Chase leaning against the window, a small smile gracing his handsome face.

"Chase? What are you doing here? It's late." I was curious where he'd suddenly appeared from, I'd been sure the stairwell was empty when I came out but for some reason my mind pushed the worry to the back of my mind.

"You called, earlier. I couldn't come then though. I wanted to see you were okay."

"I called?" I frowned crossing my arms across my chest, I didn't remember calling him.

"You were distressed, I would have come immediately but you weren't in harm's way..."

"I don't remember calling you." I whispered still confused about calling him.

"Not in the traditional way." He smiled as he stepped closer his hand outstretched. I moved closer taking his hand, letting him pull me towards him. "Remember when we were little, how I'd know if you were in trouble?" I nodded meeting his dark eyes seeing the moonlight from outside lighten them as it caught them. "I still know when you need me, when you really need me. Even after we were separated, I still knew when you were in trouble or upset but I couldn't come to you, it would have put you at risk."

"You couldn't have known..."

"I felt every time something bad happened to you Belle, every time you wished I was there I felt you calling me and I would have come if you were in real danger, I promise I would have but unless you were, I couldn't risk putting you in harm's way." I stared at him still not understanding what he was trying to say nor was I sure if I believed him. "You wanted me there over two years ago, just after the middle of July. I felt you calling me then."

"That's...that's impossible...how..." I pulled back from him.

"I told you...I was always with you. I know when you need me. What happened then, why did you call?"

"Diana...she died...but I still don't understand...what do you mean I called you?"

"If I show you something, I need you to be calm, to not panic, understand?" I nodded apprehensive to know what he might show me. "You trust me, right?"

"Of course." He smiled taking my hand in his before pulling me closer.

"Close your eyes." I frowned unsure at first but after a moment let out a sigh closing my eyes. I felt myself frown harder as I felt something wet and squidgy under my feet suddenly, unable to keep my eyes closed any longer I pulled back looking down almost slipping if it wasn't for Chase catching my arms.

"Where..." I couldn't believe my eyes as I took in the wet muddy grass beneath my feet or the thick dense forest in front of me, the wind whipping at my face making me shiver and hug my arms tight around myself. Turning around I recognised the half burnt barn standing lit partially by the moonlight. "...what is going on Chase?"

"Here." He shrugged off his jacket wrapping it around me as I continued to look around in disbelief. "My family are descended from a line of witches, witches that came here, to Ipswich back in the 1600s. At eighteen I received the power that all males in my family inherit, which is how I was able to bring you here, to the barn where one of my ancestors was killed."
