Chapter Two - A Pull
I tugged my pillow over my head groaning as I was pulled from my sleep by the noise of repeated thumping praying it would cease. It didn't. Huffing out a sigh I pulled back my covers and climbed from my bed stumbling as the covers caught on my ankle almost sending me to the floor if it wasn't for the door knob. Yanking the door open I rubbed the side of my head as I half heartedly stretched.
"You better hope it's past twelve." I yawned behind my hand taking a moment before finally opening my eyes to find myself staring back at four amused faces. "I already hate living in a dorm." I muttered sighing as I turned, too tired to feel awkward, nervous or embarrassed. "Kate, your boyfriend and his posse are here." I called before crawling back onto my bed.
"Huh?" Kate rose sleepily rubbing her eyes as she sat up. I reached for my covers frowning as I failed to find them only to briefly remember kicking them away across the floor as they tried to trip me up earlier. "Hey baby." Kate purred making me groan in disgust as I grabbed my covers from the floor pulling them over me as I lay back down.
"Hey babe. Belle." Pogue's deep voice drifted through the room before the click of the door followed.
"Trying to sleep." I muttered from within my cocoon, 100 percent determined to go back to sleep. "Take the posse elsewhere." Several deep chuckles and Kate's light laugh followed my request before someone cleared their throat.
"We aren't his posse sweets and I'm quite enjoying the view here, thank you." I let out another disgusted groan as I pulled my covers tighter.
"Reid!" A stern voice sighed while I could hear Pogue chuckle lightly. I jumped as my phone rang, it's shrill tune destroying any peace. Allowing an arm to leave my warm cocoon I felt around my bedside table before flipping open my phone.
"What?"
"Morning to you too sweetheart. I was calling to see how your first day was going."
"I'm not your sweetheart. Don't call me your sweetheart. My first day is when class starts and in case no one realises I'm trying to sleep! Okay, great, don't call back." I muttered before dropping the phone back on the table. Taking a deep breath I shut my eyes again all ready to fall asleep when the phone rang again. "For the love of god! Go away Eric or I'll shove your phone where the sun doesn't shine. I'm trying to sleep." I cried into the phone knowing full well that the close friend I'd left was trying to irritate me like he usually did. He knew very well that I like to try and lie in on Saturdays.
"I'll call you back later sweetheart." Eric's laugh echoed through the phone.
"I'm not your..." I let out a groan as he hung up still laughing, knowing I wouldn't be going back to sleep anytime soon. "One lie in. One." I mumbled pulling back my covers ignoring the others as I padded into the bathroom and took a warm shower.
Stepping out I wrapped a towel around myself and started to dry my hair with another, frowning as I glanced around for my clothes, realisation that I hadn't taken any with me when I came in slowly dawning on me. Rolling my eyes I re-entered the bedroom to see Kate sitting on Pogue's lap while Caleb sat on the bottom of her bed, Tyler sat on her twirly desk chair and Reid perched on her desk. They all turned to me, their conversation halted.
"Uh...don't mind me...clothes...I forgot clothes."
"I don't mind you forgetting your clothes at all." Reid smirked making my cheeks warm as I quickly tugged out clothes as his eyes drifted over me. Disappearing back into the safety of the bathroom I dried and dressed myself before cleaning my teeth, pulling a brush through the messy auburn curls reflected back at me in the mirror. Staring back at the blue eyes in the mirror for a moment I left my reflection throwing my hair into a high ponytail as I left the bathroom to find the room empty of young men for once.
