Reid pulled up outside the front of the dorms steps switching off the engine and turning to me.

"Perhaps I was a little too easy on you but you did hustle me remember."

"I knew it." I smiled triumphantly. "I knew you let me win. Why?"

"That's for me to know."

"I suppose that means you won. What do you want?" His blue eyes searched mine before he shook his head a few blond strands falling over his eyes.

"It's okay."

"I don't like being in someone's debt."

"Don't worry so much. I promise, I'm not going to call up your debt. It's wiped." Nodding I opened the door about to step out when I paused turning back.

"Thank you, for the lift." He smiled nodding and watching as I closed the door glancing back once before stepping inside. My head was pounding as I made my way up to my room and I was glad that I'd called it a night on Nicky's. I stopped as a gush of cold air wrapped around me as I stepped on to our floor. Feeling uneasy I quickened my pace relieved as I entered the room locking the door behind me. Putting on the bathroom light I started to undress before pulling on shorts and a vest falling into my bed, grateful when sleep fell upon me.

"ME! You're blaming ME! I'm not the one sleeping around with their secretary!" A woman's voice hissed angrily from the front of the black BMW. I cringed trying to sink further into the back seat.

"Marie! They have ears!" The man in the driver's seat hissed nodding behind them.

"It's not just me you're hurting but them too." The woman hissed back, disgusted at the man. Her sharp green eyes held a hate for him she was only just managing to control within her small frame. "Yet, you still blame ME! You inconsiderate bastard!" I bit my lip to stop a whimper escaping and furthering the argument happening in the front of the car. I felt a warm hand gently take mine and pull me along the back seat into a pair of warm arms. I sniffed back the sobs pushing up my throat and leaned into the soft form, smelling mint and soap as I curled against the one person I felt safe and secure with.

"Marie, now is not the time for this!" His handsome tanned face frowned, his dull brown eyes narrowing as he tried not to look at his wife.

"NOW IS THE TIME RICHARD!" Marie yelled and I covered my ears, trying to block out the shouting and screaming that followed.

"Hey." I felt a hand pry one of mine from my ears and lift my chin up to look into the deep blue eyes that requested my attention. "Ignore them okay. I'm here with you. It's okay." I shook my head feeling the tears returning.

"No it's not. What if they separate? What if they separate us?" I whispered, tears falling from my eyes as I heard Marie yell.

"You don't deserve us!" The deep blue eyes looked behind me at the two bickering adults then back to me. His messy short brown hair lightened as we sped past a lamppost. He was a little taller than me although then again he is a year older than me - today is our birthday, my ninth and his tenth, some birthday this had turned out to be. He was always looking after me, making sure no one hurt me or upset me. He wasn't my real brother...but he treated me like I was his real family. He was the only family I really had.

"Don't cry Bells, I promise I'll always be with you. Hey, look at me." He lifted my chin again, our eyes meeting. "I'll always look after you. I'll always be with you. If we get separated I'll find you, I promise Belle." He kissed my cheek pulling me against his chest, arms tight around me.
