Phoenix POV
Tyler's was the first place I stayed. Everyday would be the same, Josh would arrive at exactly 9 am, both Tyler and Josh would help me out bed and onto the window seat where I can watch the world go by.
We would then all call the hospital asking about Pete and his recovery, so far so good.
They would then force my medicine down and then we'd go out to the park to learn to walk, Tyler often left halfway because he'd be meeting with Jenna. I have no problem with it because I understand the need to be with someone you love... sadly I can't just walk up to the hospital and into his room. I can't even walk!
It's getting better though, my walking... I wouldn't call it walking, more like stumbling. It's gradually getting better...

Today it was Josh's turn to be busy.
"Mornin!"
Tyler cheerily walks in with a tray of whatever's for breakfast and the dreaded medicine.
"Hey..."
I force myself up ignoring any pain and eventually, after a long time, manage to sit up.
"It's okay Phee I'll help!"
Tyler begins to lift me out of bed and onto the window seat, I can't help but feel pathetic.
He perches next to me and gives a warm smile, I can't really take him seriously in his Christmas pyjamas...
"You'll be okay"
He says pulling me into a gentle hug in order to avoid any pain.
"I know, it just sucks"
"Yeah but soon you'll be able to walk!"
"And dance!"
He laughs,
"Yeah and dance"
"Especially for the Christmas party! I can't wait to show Pete our Christmas traditions!"
His smile fades.
"We should call the hospital"
"Yeah"

He comes back into the room with a big smile,
Finally.
"What is it!"
I look up from my book, Great expectations by Charles Dickens, and see a large grin plastered across his face.
"Guess who just woke up"
"OH MY GOD"
I sit up so quickly that I forget the pain and launch myself into him,
"HES GOING TO BE OKAY!"
I shout into his chest, he probably can't hear because I'm pressed so hard against him.
"Would you like an escort to the hospital? While we're there they can check up on you too"
"Yeah I guess that would help..."
"What's up?"
"What if I'm worse..."
"Well..."
I lifts my head up from his chest and holds my hands,
"Judging by the fact you're conscious, able to speak AND able to breathe... I think you're doing pretty great"
I giggle at his stupid words,
"OKAY I guess it's not too bad"
I quickly sip my tea and take my medicine before we head out.

"Is Josh coming?"
I ask as Tyler fiddles with the radio while keeping his eyes on the road,
"I don't think so, he said something about his sister coming to town"
"Oh..."
He makes a funny face when I say Josh's name,
"What?"
I ask, tilting my head like a confused puppy.
"Nothing"
He shrugged,
"Ok then.."
We sit in silence for a while, just listening to the tyres sticking to the road. Tyler's thoughts where loud enough for me to understand.
"No"
I say answering his inner questions.
"What?"
"No I didn't think about killing myself again"
He's silent.
"Oh... how did you-"
"You're my best friend, by now I should know what you're thinking"
I smile at him, he keeps his eyes on the road.
"What if he doesn't make it"
He says, his voice quivering.
"Don't say that."
"Yes but what if he-"
"He will."
"Okay..."
More silence.

We arrive at the hospital, Tyler helps me out.
I grab my crutches from him and swing as fast as I can to the entrance.
I'm welcomed with a huge gust of hot air and a warm smile from a receptionist.
"Welcome to-"
She begins, I don't have time.
"Pete wentz"
"I'm sorry?"
"I'm here to see Pete wentz"
Tyler bursts in front of me.
"Hello, yes, sorry she's not um... stable.."
He turns to face me, I punch him in the arm whilst almost crashing to the ground.
"We'd like to see Pete wentz please, um Tyler Joesph and Phoenix Wolfe"
"Hmmm"
She eyes her computer before examining us.
"It's okay Jules, they're with us"
Now that's a voice I've missed.
"Patrick!"
"Phoenix! Look at you!"
He hugs me gently, making sure I don't fall, then hugs Tyler.
"Can you walk yet?"
He asks, I give him a 'are you serious' look.
"Oh right yeah..well anyway I'm glad you're doing fine!"
"Patrick where's Pete."
"Oh right! He's in here"
He takes us to a small room, the beeping machines aren't too inviting,
And there he is.

He's still laying down but his eyes are open, he's staring at the ceiling.
"Pete-"
Patrick begins to politely knock on the old door,
"Patrick unless you have a literal miracle I'm not in the mood."
He mutters.
"Hey Pete.."
I say slowly making my way over. I see his eyes widen and pupils dilate as he hears my voice.
Adorable.
"Phee"
I drop my crutches and fall to my knees, landing next to him, I ignore the screaming pain in my stomach this time.
He could only turn his head but it's all I needed.
"It is you! Patrick you really did have a miracle, MY miracle"
I kiss him gently, making sure I don't cause any pain. His smile fades once we break apart.
"What is it?"
I ask cautiously,
"They say I'm not stable... I hear them talking, even when I'm right here they still talk... Phee they're worried"
"Well I guess so am I!"
He laughs, It grows into coughs.
"Just know that I love you okay?"
"Hey! Don't go talking like that! Everything's going to be okay! I'll learn to walk and you'll be up on stage in no time"
His hand slowly reaches mine, his grip tightens with every second.
"I don't know..."
"Pete"
His machines where picking up speed,
"Pete.."
His eyelids heavy,
"PETE"
"I love you Tiffany Blew"
"PETE WENTZ DONT YOU FUCKING DARE"
He lets out a soft laugh and drifts of, machines going mental.
"NO YOU-"
I grab onto him as the doctors run in, they pull at his wires and untangle him from my arms.
"Miss you need to go"
They say calmly as hey lift him to the stretcher,
"NO"
"Miss"
They take him away, with the help of Tyler and Patrick I manage to keep up with them.
"NO"
"MISS YOU MUST LEAVE"
He hands me a small box and walks swiftly into the surgery room, the door clicks behind him.

Patrick and Tyler don't hesitate, they pick me up and take me to the car.
"STOP"
They carefully place me into the back seats.
"Phee it's okay! He just needs to be pumped.."
"DIDNT YOU SEE HIM DRIFT AWAY"
"They just gave him some-"
"HES IN THEIR HANDS NOW"
"Okay Phee"
Try both stay calm. I don't.
Eventually they give me my medicine and I drift off.

The next thing I know I'm in the hotel, surrounded by his bags.
"I don't deserve to be here... this shouldn't happen"
I whisper to myself as my eyes dart around the room.
I keep imaging him there, I'm wrapped in his arms.
"NO!"
I scream and fling his bags off the bed, they uncover what's underneath.
There in the middle of the bed is the box.
"Eh what the hell"
I reach for it ignoring the pain once again and slowly open it, inside is his necklace.
No..
The last piece of him I have until I know he's alive.

At that moment I can only think one thing,
I hate hospitals.
