The nerves were freaking Cassie out, Luke had spoken the truth and she was now sat at her fathers office waiting until he was ready to get in to a conversation with her. She got him quite angry and it was definitely something she didn't plan on doing.
"Mr. Thomas is ready to see you." His assistant said, opening the door. Cassie followed her inside and then walked through the second door her father was hidden behind.
When she walked in, he sat quietly, staring in front of him. The second Cassie closed the door, her got up, stared at her angrily and began yelling. "Catherine Juliana Theresa Thomas I did not raise you like that!" He said.
She bowed her head down and walked over to one of the chairs so she could sit down. "Why would you do something like that. You put everything on the stand. You have never done anything like that before, always the decent and neat girl. What changed?" He said, a hint of anger in his voice.
"This stupid damn contract." Cassie then spoke. Robin sat down behind his desk again, and bit the inside of his cheek. "Luke?" He said softly, staring at his daughter. "It- it was nothing, I promise. I know that the pictures were not the best idea. But you want people talking about us right? I can go walk around in his sweatshirt for a while and maybe- I don't know." Cassie started talking, wanting to make it better for her dad.
"To be very honest, if I wasn't your daughter, you would think you picked the perfect girl. Luke stands for having sexy girls around him, if he has one stable relationship with a girl that loves her body, what's so bad about it." Cassie started telling him. "I think I actually did something good, dad, the more attention that gets drawn to us the more I feel like I am doing my job."
Robin took a deep breath and stared at his daughter again. "Okay, listen, you're right. I am treating you different because you are my daughter. I am just looking out for you, because I have seen what people in this business can do." He said, getting up.
"You two will be together in three days, make sure you take a lot of pictures, lots of public things and just as much attention as possible." He said and stared at Cassie. "I love you Cas." He said and kissed her forehead.
There was a knock on the door, "Yes?" Robin said and his assistant walked in again. "5 Seconds of Summer on the video line for you." She said and closed the door again. He walked over to his desk and answered the call.
The Skype screen showed Luke's three band members on the white screen in front of them. "Ah boys!" Robin said, waving. "Cassie!" Michael yelled and Cassie waved back. "I miss you!" Cassie laughed and Michael laughed along. "A few more days." Calum said and then cleared his throat.
"Boys, where is Luke?" Cassie's dad then asked and they all got quiet. "We thought he went out or something but it's been two nights and we haven't spoken to him nor have we seen him." Ashton said. "What do you mean?" Robin said
"He- we don't know where he is." Calum said, not knowing what to say. "He blocked us all, phone has been off ever since he left and his parents and the staff have not seen him." Ashton said, trying to explain the situation.
"Cassie?" Her dad looked at her and she raised her shoulders. "How would I know, I haven't spoken to the asshole in.." She started saying and then realized he had probably spoken to her lastly before disappearing. "A day and a night." She groaned and grabbed her phone, calling Luke.
"What do you want?" She heard him slurring after waiting for him to answer for way too long. "Where are you?" She asked him, annoyed. "Las Vegas, where are you?" He said, giggling. Cassie rolled her eyes and then the line broke, Luke had hung up.
"So?" The boys asked her, and she just shook her head. "He says he's in Las Vegas." She let herself fall back in to her chair. "Oh god not again, let's go." Cassie's dad said, and got up. "Get a carry on." He said and rushed her out of his office. "I'll meet you at the airport, my assistant will email you the details.
So thirty minutes later she found herself in her father's private jet, nervously staring out of the window in to the dark and grey sky.
If there was one thing she could wish for to change, it was the route of this plane.
