It was late, really late, when Luke woke up. Not late as in morning, but late as in night. He was completely weirded out by where he was, how he had gotten here and why he smelled so clean. He sat up in the bed, and looked around. He saw the most adorable sight ever;

It was Cassie, rolled up next to the bed, sleeping on a duvet cover and a couch pillow. She looked really cold and uncomfortable. But how did Cassie get here? Luke did not know anything, he just felt a lot of pain in his head and slowly got up from the bed.

He walked over to the bathroom, and not so quietly opened the cabinet in which he took the effort to put some of his stuff. After closing the little cabinet door the light flickered on and he saw Cassie standing by the door frame. "Hey." Luke whispered. "Hi." She answered back. They just stood there for a few seconds, maybe minutes, until Luke furrowed his eyebrows. "Why are you here?" He asked her, brushing past her body and over to his bed.

"You don't remember anything?" She asked Luke, who shook his head. Cassie walked over to the end of the bed, and stood there. "When I found you, you were covered in vomit and tears, Luke." She said, biting her lip. "I cleaned you up, then helped you to bed." She stared at her hands while saying it.

"Well, thanks." He said, now knowing she has seen him at his worst. "So why are you here, still?" He asked his next question, wondering why she hadn't left him. "I wanted to make sure you were okay and wouldn't start drinking immediately when you woke up again."

"Well, I'm good." He said and looked out the window. "No you're not, you're definitely not okay." Cassie said. "You think I am some kind of monster and player, but I still have feelings, damnit Cassie." Luke groaned and slammed his fist on the duvet cover. Cassie noticed he was getting annoyed by her.

"You think I am completely an asshole to everything and everyone I come across but you forget I am also a person, I have feelings and what you said was not cool." He spoke and the tears rushed down his cheeks. "I feel so alone, like there is nobody that understands me." He sobs. "So you turn to alcohol and drugs, come on Luke you should know better, you'll kill yourself." She says, staring at him. This was so not the way she thought he was.

"You're not a monster, its not your personality, it's just anger. I want to understand you but I just don't." Cassie spoke, walking towards the window and sitting down in the window seat. "I just want people to understand me!" Luke yelled and let himself fall on to the bed again. He kept on repeating the sentence; "I just want people to understand me." The sobbing continued and Cassie was so helpless.

"I am trying to understand you Luke, but sometimes it just a little difficult." Cassie said while looking at Luke who was still lying in bed. "You're just so unpredictable." Luke nodded and then pulled the duvet covers back over his body. "I just need to sleep for a while." He said, turning his back towards Cassie, who was still on the ground.

"Well you can, but we have to fly towards the rest of the boys in the afternoon and you still have to pack." Cassie said, Luke groaned and pulled the covers over his head. Cassie sighed and walked over to the bathroom. She drew a bath and got in to it. Exactly what she needed at that moment.

After a while, there was a knock on the door. "Cassie?" Luke spoke from the other side of the door. "I'm taking a bath." She said back. "Oh okay." Luke said. Cassie shrugged and just continued bathing. Eventually she got out of the bath and got ready.

Then, she walked out of the bathroom to see Luke sitting in his boxers on the side of the bed, head in his hands. "What's up." Cassie said, putting her toiletry bag in to her carry on. "Nothing, my head hurts a little." Luke said, shrugging. "Have you taken pain killers?" She asked, her back facing him.

Luke got up and walked in to the bathroom. Cassie grabbed a few of the things she had lying around and put them in to her suitcase. Then she made the bed and opened the curtains, looking out of the window to see the pretty view of Las Vegas.

"I'll be in the main area." Cassie said when she walked past the bathroom door. She already had her suitcase in her hand. She didn't hear anything from Luke but he could've had a sip of water in his mouth or something.

When she got to the main area, she sat down on the couch and called her dad. "Hey Cas how is it going?" He asked her. He flew back to Los Angeles the same night he arrived, while Cassie had stayed with Luke. "I think okay." He started. "He kind of broke down in to crying a few hours ago and he has a major headache and honestly doesn't look his best but he is aware of his surroundings." Cassie said, giving her dad a full report on Luke.

"Okay, well, I hope he'll be able to preform again tomorrow. I think we got there at the exact right time." Robin spoke. "I think so, we're going to the airport in a bit." Cassie told her father. "Great, the boys will be there to pick you up." He said. "Okay great, I'll see you soon." Cassie said. After that they ended the call.

Not too long after that, Luke walked out of the bedroom with his suitcase rolling past him. His hair was a little messy and he wore one of the black t-shirts they had bought in New York, with his staple black jeans. Cassie smiled and got up. "Hey." She said and walked over to him, getting his suitcase.

She took a hand through his hair to comb it a small bit and Luke kind of looked down while she did that. "I think I haven't said thank you yet." Luke said, not looking at Cassie. "It's alright." In the back of her mind she told herself that it was a little bit her job, but she was actually happy she helped Luke out.

Luke got his sunglasses out of his backpack and put them on. "Ready to go back to the tourbus?" Cassie asked him, looking at him. "I think I am." He said and followed Cassie out the door, ready to go back to the place where it all started.
