I woke up around 6am the next morning. I had to go through my boxes to try and found the outfit I wanted to wear for school. We couldn't carry our hangers with us while we were moving so we have to buy new ones eventually. After what felt like 2 hours of searching, I found the outfit I was looking for and put it on. I then went downstairs where I ate breakfast. While I was eating breakfast, we heard a knock on the door. Dad answered it, it was Avery.

"Good morning Avery." My Dad smiled at her. "Emma's almost ready."
"Okay." Avery nodded.

As soon as I got done my breakfast, I threw my bowl and spoon into the sink, grabbed my backpack and headed out the door.

"Ready for your first day?" Avery asked.
"I guess." I responded.
"Don't worry, you'll do fine." Avery assured me.

We walked to the high school over to the front desk, where I was given my schedule. As I looked over it, Avery was also looking at it over my shoulder and gasped.

"You're in Chemistry with Phil Lester and in English with Dan Howell!" Avery exclaimed.
"So?" I asked.
"So... you're going to have the two biggest assholes on the planet in your class!" Avery shouted, so nearly everybody could hear it.
"Okay." I simply responded.
"Do you seriously not care that these guys are in your classes?" Avery asked.
"I've dealt with having troublemakers in classes before Avery, I think I can handle it." I assured her.
She shrugged, "Alright, your funeral."

As we began walking down the hallway to my homeroom, we heard a young boy, possibly a freshman, crying for help as he was being shoved against the lockers. As we turned the corner, we noticed that the culprits behind that were none other than Dan and Phil.

"I'M SORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN TO! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!" The young boy cried.
"THEN DON'T FUCKING STARE AT US NEXT TIME!" Dan shouted.

He then looked over to me as he noticed me watching the entire thing. I looked over at Avery, who was walking behind me, trying not to get in trouble with Dan and Phil.

I then looked back over at the boys, who were still looking at me. But for some reason, instead of going after me for staring at them, they just released the boy aggressively and walked away.

"Wow... you're not dead!" Avery said.

I ignored her and walked over to the young boy, who was trembling. He was a small, blonde haired boy with glasses.

"Are you alright?" I asked.
"Y-Yeah..." The boy responded. "Th-They do this to me a lot... but nobody does anything."
"That's not fair." I stated.
"Tell me about it." The boy agreed.
"Well, Emma here, aka the new student, has to deal with both of them in two of her classes." Avery bragged.
"Oh..." The boy responded. "Well, good luck I guess."
Avery nodded. "Good luck, indeed."
I rolled my eyes. "Guys, shut up, I'll be fine!"

After homeroom was over, my first class was chemistry. Avery showed me the way to the classroom before leaving to go to her class. As I entered the classroom, I noticed three rows of tables with sinks and gas pumps in the middle of them instead of regular tables.

I then went over to the teacher, who proudly introduced himself and handed me a bunch of papers. One was a syllabus, one was a paper to be signed by my parents, and the other papers were the assignments we would be doing today.

"Okay Emma, you will be seated in the third row table to the right with Mr. Lester, who will also be your partner throughout the course." My chemistry teacher stated.

Figures.

I looked over at Phil, who was just simply sitting there, with one elbow on the table, his hand against his cheek and looking out the window. Usually trouble makers would be throwing spitballs or other things to other classmates, but that wasn't the case at all with him.

I let out a simple 'thank you' to the teacher before walking over to the table. As I was passing by each table, students were whispering and laughing about how I would be seated with Phil. I tried ignoring it, but then it began worrying me about what he would possibly be doing to me since we were now chemistry partners.

I slowly sat down in my seat, not letting out a single word.

Suddenly, Phil started speaking to me.

"No introduction?" He asked. I simply looked over at him with a confused look. "Usually people introduce themselves when they sit next to me in the class."
"Emma..." I simply responded.
"Emma." Phil nodded. "Nice name."

I tried concentrating to what was being written on the board, chemical formulas when suddenly, Phil continued to speak.

"I see you witnessed the fight we had with that one kid earlier." He stated. "You're lucky Dan didn't beat you to a pulp."

I didn't say anything to him. I continued looking at the board and taking notes. Surprisingly, he didn't say anything else to me throughout the rest of the period.

My fourth class of the day was English. Of course once again I was sat down next to Dan. Luckily, there were desks this time instead of tables, so I didn't feel like my seat was connected with his.

Before class started, he leaned over towards me.

"Phil told me about you." Dan stated.

I ignored him. He suddenly slapped my arm with the back of his hand. I clutched onto it as it stung me.

"Don't ignore me when I'm talking to you!" Dan stated.
"And don't think trying to harm me is going to force me to listen to you!" I exclaimed.

He gave me a harsh look before the bell rang and class started. My heart actually began racing out of my chest. The look he gave me told me he probably was going to hurt me somehow.

But despite the look he gave me, he never spoke to me throughout the rest of the period. Which got me curious. They both seem to bother and bully others between classes, but as soon as the bell rings, they don't say or do anything. They just sit there and listen.

This made me feel a bit weird about them. But then again, this was only my first day in class. So who the hell knows what they'll do in the future?
