Chapter 25

Lana

After Barry proposed we found it hard to sleep. We continued to talk most of the night about our plans until we finally fell asleep on the couch. Once morning came I got up and began to get dressed as did Barry.

I took a deep breath before I told Barry what I had been keeping from him. "I'm going back today. Rick handed me another mission. It's Carl and Damon I have to come up with a way to make him believe they're still out there" I tell Barry

He looked at me with worry in his eyes and I could tell he didn't want me to go.

He hesitated at first before he said anything. "Just please be safe" he tells me "if you ever need anything don't hesitate to ask. I'll always be there in a flash" he smiles

I laugh at his pun and hug him. "I love you" I tell him

"And I love you" he says kissing me

Once I was ready I began to drive out to AliPhil. When I got there I quickly made my way inside looking around the empty building. I walked to the back room and into the small elevator. I could feel how quickly I moved. I was sure I was many feet underground just as fast.

I walk out of the elevator seeing all the people walking around like nothing. My hand traced over the ring on my finger. I couldn't help but smile. The only thing I hated was having to leave early this morning after just getting engaged once again last night.

As I turned a corner my eyes quickly landed on a guy whose face was clearly covered in cuts. I continued to stare at him knowing he looked familiar and then my breath got caught in my throat as I realized who it was. Beyond the bruises and cuts I knew it was the same man I thought I had killed. I quickly looked around not knowing what to do. If he saw me he would surely call me out then my cover would be blown. All I could think about was that he was alive and he was here and soon Rick would know I had betrayed him. If I didn't get out of here soon I would be dead before I made it to the top floor of the building.

I could feel my body begin to shake as I felt light headed. I really thought he was dead, I thought I had killed him. But I didn't, he stood there and I was sure soon Rick would know and I would be dead. I began to walk back hoping to get out of here before he or anyone else noticed me.

I wasn't quick enough as someone grabbed me by my arm and pulled me along with them. My mind was quickly on high alert until I saw who it was. Liam was pulling me alongside him as he walked further down the hall.

"Liam-" I say but he cut me off

Quickly we were inside the prison cell room and I saw the bullet proof glass. Liam placed his hand on the detector screen and the doors opened. Before I could say or do anything he quickly pushed me inside and closed the door behind me.

We had kept this room to keep people in while we decided what to do with them. The glass cell was so they would not find any way to escape.

"You can't just leave me in here Liam. I have to get out of here before he sees me" I say
