Chapter 27

Lana

Slowly I bent down to slip on my shoes. I winced as I felt the newly stitched up cuts on my side. I could feel the pain coursing through my body but I couldn't wait another minute. I wanted out of this hospital.

As soon as I signed the papers I began to change. I didn't want to wait for anyone to pick me up. If I wanted to get back on their good side I had to do it myself. I walked into the restroom seeing my reflection. All the blood was gone and in its place was just stitched up cuts. I put my hair down hoping it would make it seem less bad as it did.

I left the hospital and went straight to STAR labs. I was nervous to come face to face with Barry. I was sure he knew what had happened now and I was sure he would be mad that I didn't ask for his help instead of joe.

I got off the cab and walked into STAR labs after paying the cab driver. Once the elevator doors opened I saw Caitlin and Julian standing outside.

"Lana" Caitlin says turning to face me

She let out a breath and quickly rushed to my side, hugging me tight. She pulled away and looked at me, her eyes quickly landing on the huge cut on my face.

I smiled at her and moved my hair to cover me up more. "It's not that bad, I'm fine" I say

She forces a smile as the three of us walk to the cortex.

"The hospital was supposed to call me when you got released so I could pick you up" she says

"I'm more than capable of getting a cab on my own" I chuckled

"Look who I found" she says

My eyes quickly went to where Joe stood and I smiled. "How are you feeling?" He asks hugging me

"Better than when you first found me" I chuckle

"It's over" he says looking at everyone else "does anybody know what's going on I mean I got a mountain of paperwork back at the office"

"Sorry about that" I say

"If it had a positive outcome I don't mind" joe tells me

HR comes walking closer and his eyes land on Julian and me.

"Ahh, welcome home James can I brew you a cup of tea" he chuckles "and miss Lana how about a cup of coffee you will need it after they all give you a piece of their mind"

I look at him and sit down on the chair already dreading this talk.

"No need we hit jitters on the way-" Barry says then stops when he sees me

I quickly looked away hating how small he made me feel in that moment. Iris looked at me and instantly hugged me.

"So now that is done that means you're bringing Damon right?" Caitlin asks "I can't wait to see my nephew" she smiles
