Chapter 17

Lana

When we were finally dressed we were finally dropped off back on planet earth.

"I can't believe I'm saying this after getting the chance to experience something new but it's good to have my two feet on the ground" I say

"I can't believe that you guys escaped an alien spaceship keywords alien spaceship. I have questions'' Cisco says following us in

"It can wait" Oliver says

"No problem Lana will tell me everything" Cisco says eyeing me "she always does"

"What's the status?" Oliver asks

"Nothing since the dominators paid a little visit to mess with our heads" Barry says

I could feel his gaze on me as I just stared at the ground.

"What if they were trying to pin us against each other in order to gain intel about metahumans" ray says

I could feel my heart begin to grow heavy as I thought about that dream. They continued to talk as I finally looked up and stepped away. I didn't bother to excuse myself, I just walked away and turned a corner.

Once I knew they couldn't see me I leaned against the wall and exhaled. I couldn't help but think of all the dreams I had been stuck in. Everyone knew how to hurt me and it was by forcing me to relive my painful memories.

I didn't know how to feel, I was confused. I hated how real that dream felt. Josh felt real he was real to me. I finally had him back and then he was gone all over again.

I could feel my tears slip out of my eyes and I heard footsteps walking closer to me. I quickly wiped my tears away and saw Barry turned the corner.

"Hey, you okay?" He asks

"Yeah, what's the plan?" I say walking past him to join everyone else

"We're meeting the new president" he says not pushing to know what was really wrong

He quickly grabs onto my arm stopping me from walking further.

"Caitlin was really worried she's happy to hear you're back" he says looking really concerned "I don't know what you saw but you know you can count on me right? I know I screwed up but you can still count on me"

"You're right you did screw up" I say looking at him and seeing hurt flash across his eyes "but I also know I can always count on you"

He looks up and let's go of my arm, smiling a little.

I grabbed my weapons from when I had set them down and went with everyone else. I couldn't help but think of Barry. Everyone was right. I still loved him even after all that's happened.

We all stood waiting for the president to arrive and all I could do was stare at Barry's back.
