shoot, i haven't even showered yet.

i laugh at myself, why do i care, i'm just going to hang with a friend, or at least i hope he's a friend.

but who am i kidding he's always so hesitant to even text me let alone befriend me.

i walk to the park, not letting my parents know, not that they would care anyways.

i feel my heart temp quicken as i get closer to the park.

and i'm almost positive it's not because i'm out of breath.

is it because i'm meeting up with tyler, the small, shy boy in my first hour english?

nah, couldn't be.

i see tyler, he swings lightly on the swing set, gosh that's adorable.

i stop before getting to him, he looks so deep in thought, as if he's talking with himself, in his head of course.

i feel bad to interrupt him, but i continue moving forward.

"heyo!" my voice lifts at the end.

he looks up in shock, then gives me a slight grin, nothing like the smile i saw when we collided in the hallway.

"oh yeah, no talking, just each others presence." i let out a laugh and i plop myself on the swing next to him.

he seems to have brought his backpack with him, as he pulls out a notebook and pencil.

i watch him carefully as he writes something down quickly.

he folds it into a paper airplane, as a child would.

i smile at the sight.

he turns it towards me and tosses it, we were a mere 3 feet apart, but for some reason he felt this was necessary.

i unfold the paper and read what he has written.

you look nice, by the way.

my body suddenly feels 100 degrees warmer and my cheeks redden.

i look at him, but he's looking off into the distance, as if he doesn't want to see my reaction.

i grab the pencil that's lazily rested in his hand, he jumps but soon realizes what i'm doing.

i write down something just as quickly as he did, and fold it just as he did.

i throw it in his lap, he flinched at the sudden presence, his hands go to unfold it.

his cheeks instantly go a shade more pink, and a smile creeps at the corner of his mouth.
