The moment we shut the car off, Owen gets out, almost tripping.
He runs to the front door, excited, and lets himself into the house.
Shane and I follow him.
He sprints into the living room, and we follow him.
Everyone looks up.
"ABOUT TIME!" Macy yells.
She runs at me, and jumps. I catch her, slamming backwards into Shane's chest.
"Bae." She says, her legs around my waist. I start to fall, but Shane catches me, steadying me.
"Get off me, Mace." I say, smiling.
She gets off, pulling out of the hug with tears in her eyes.
"I've missed you." she says, sniffling.
"I've missed you too." I say.
Owen is going around to hug everybody.
We haven't seen them since Christmas, and it doesn't sound like a long time, but seven months is a really long time when you have a lot of young kids.
Shane and I go around, hugging everybody.
When we left, Connor, Jake and Peyton's son, was just seven months. He wasn't crawling or walking.
Now he's one and he's doing all of it.
I practically rip him from Jake's arms.
"Look at you!" I say. "Look how big you are." I smile, tickling him. He giggles, and then starts squirming to get down.
I smile, setting him on the floor.
I'm already four and a half months along.
The only people who know are me and my doctor.
I'm worried somebody is going to find out though.
Shane and I were trying. We said we wanted to have another, and we had sex one night without a condom, and then later that week we went to do it again and I told him I didn't think I was ready, that I wanted him to put on a condom.
He did, but the first time he got me pregnant.
I'm standing in the middle of the living room.
"Are you pregnant?" Allison, Chase's wife asks.
Everyone looks at me.
"Why do you think I'm pregnant?"
"You're glowing, your boobs are bigger, and you don't look as skinny as you normally do." She says. "No offense."
"Yeah, you are glowing." Madeline, Devin's wife says.
Everyone is watching me, waiting for an answer.
"Well..." I hesitate. "I was gonna try to surprise you guys." I look at Shane. "But yeah. I'm pregnant."
He looks shocked.
"Are you serious?"
He cried when he found out about Owen.
I nod, smiling.
"Four and a half months." I found out the day before we left. I already got an ultrasound. My doctor knows the gender. I don't."
He looks like he doesn't know what to say.
"So when we tried a few months ago..."
I nod.
"But are you ready?" he asks.
