Chapter 25

The next morning Benny woke up first. They were still in their clothes and in the same position that they had fallen asleep in. He still didn't want to let go of her and he didn't want to wake her up. He still couldn't believe he finally had her. He liked girls but he had never been super crazy for them like some of the other guys. He finally found a girl that he genuinely really cared for. The only girl he had ever met that truely liked baseball and truely liked him. He loved everything about her. He couldn't wait to tell Micheal.

Emma opened her eyes. She looked and saw that Benny's arm was still wrapped around her. She felt like the luckiest girl in the world. The boy she's been in love with all summer was hers now. She grabbed his hand.

"Morning." She smiled. "Good morning." He said giving her a light squeeze. "What time is it?" She said remembering that her parents were on their way home. What was she going to tell them? She certainly wasn't going to say anything about making out with Benny and then sleeping together. They got up and ready for the day. "Oh man I'm gonna be in shit!" He said quickly.
"Why?" Emma said wrapping her arms around his neck. He saw that he had six missed calls from his mom. "Cause I didn't go home last night." He said smiling. "What are you gonna tell her?" She said teasingly. "The truth."
"Really?!"
"Yeah I want them to know about you." He said sliding his hands around her waist. "Okay I'll tell my mom first. My dad can be awkward about shit like  that so I'll worry about that later." She said. "Oh yeah and I forgot I have a game in hour! Does my eye look okay?!"
"Never better." She said smiling.
"Okay I gotta go I'll talk to you later." He said giving her a hug. "Okay, I love you." She said kissing him. "Love you too." He said and walked out the door. Emma took a deep breath and was still processing everything that happened.

A little while later Emma had her friends come over and she told them what happened. "So you guys made out?!" Ashley practically shouted. "Yes." Emma said turning red. "Oh my god! So how did it happen?!" Shay said. "Well, I don't know if you guys heard but he fought Philips yesterday because he was harassing me again and Benny just lost it with him and pushed him and then he pushed him back and then Benny punched him and Philips punched him back but even harder and the other guys broke it up and I took Benny here to clean up his face because he doesn't want his parents knowing. Then we were standing close and I kissed him and I felt really embarrassed about it after and I said 'sorry' and then he said something like 'why the hell are you sorry?' and then he kissed me back and it just escalated." The three of them squealed making Emma blush. "See?! We told you he liked you too!" Lucy said. "I know but I wasn't sure! I was surprised he kissed me back!"
"Are you guys official?!" Ashley said. "Yup. He asked me in the best way and I said yes. Neither of us have been with any one before."
"How did he end up staying over?" Shay asked. "It was 9:30 when we got here and then after we made out we were laying together and talking for a while and we both just fell asleep. We lost track of time." They talked about it for a long time.

Soon they all went to the game. Benny had told the boys about his night with Emma. Once the girls arrived he immediately turned to them. He went up and kissed Emma and they both blushed as the boys whistled.

"Oh stop." Emma said rolling her eyes, even though she liked it she felt slightly embarrassed. Holding hands they went towards the dugout and Smalls followed. Emma was holding his hand and was behind as every one was staring at them. They sat down and she rested her head on his shoulder and his arm slipped around her. "I don't wanna  move." He said. "I'm not letting you." She said putting her legs across his lap. "So are you guys like... in love?"Smalls said interrupting them. He was a shy kid but was comfortable with his friends but he asked them shyly. Emma looked at him and then at Benny smiling like a fool. "You could say that." Benny said staring at her. He spooned his arms around her as she leaned against him. "I think so." She said turning to Smalls "Are you in love with anyone Smalls?" She said jokingly. "Yeah, I think so." He mumbled looking down and turning red. "What?!" Benny and Emma said in unison laughing slightly. "Oh I was joking are you serious?" Benny said not expecting him to say what he said. "Yeah it's stupid." He said. "Aw does someone have a little crush?" Emma said teasing him. "Yeah not so loud!" He said not wanting others to hear. "Who do you have a crush on?!"
"Um... promise you won't say?"
"Promise." Benny said. "Uh... it's Hailee." He said smiling. "Aw that's so cute!" Emma said embarrassing him. "For how long man?" Benny said shaking his shoulder. "Just this month."
"Have you talked to her?" Emma said. "I said hi once." Smalls said. He was so cute. "Do you still talk to her?" He asked. Emma suddenly felt awkward. "Well... actually it's been a while but I was planning to soon. What do you like about her?" She said changing the subject. "She's pretty and nice." He said nodding thinking about her. "Alright man we'll set you up." Benny said patting his back laughing. "Okay. Just don't let her know I'll tell her soon myself!" He said getting excited. "I thought you didn't want anyone to know?"
"Well I don't care about the others just as long as she doesn't know. I wanna tell her when I want."

Later on Smalls spent twenty minutes looking for a nice daisy or some flower on the ground. "What the hell is he doing?" Kevin laughed at him. "I don't know, hey Smalls! We have all our baseballs!" Harry hollered to him. "What?" The poor kid had no idea what was going on. "Have you forgotten we have a game in fifteen minutes?! Get your shit together what are you doing?!"
"Oh uh... sorry I'll just be a second." He said getting up with the flower in his hand. His friends gave him looks as if the kid was crazy.

Hailee was sitting alone where the rest of the people were. Don't be a goofus Smalls thought. Don't embarrass yourself. He worked up the courage to go over to Hailee. "Uh, hi." He said looking at her. "Oh, hello." She said  surprised to see him. "How is your day going?" He said. "It's okay. How's yours?" She said admiring how cute he was. "Fine. I brought you this I hope it makes your day better." He stuck out the flower and gave it to her. "Awe, you're so cute. Thank you." She said smiling. "I picked it for you. I gotta go bye." He said walking away. "Okay bye." She said laughing at their short but sweet conversation. "That's it?" Benny said. "Yeah. I didn't know what else to say." Smalls said. "It's okay you're gonna talk to her again." Emma said trying not to laugh.

The game had started and Emma and the other girls decided to talk to Hailee again. Whatever they had going on was cleared up. Hailee said that she didn't see much of Audrey anymore since she had been with her friends from soccer. The game went well with the boys winning. Later on Emma's parents got home and she went to tell them about Benny as he did the same.

"How was the drive?" Emma said sitting down with her mom. "Good thanks for asking. Kailey's parents said you're welcome to go down there any time and we visited your grandparents again,  it was nice." Her mom said. "That's good." She said. What's the big deal? She thought. It's nothing bad. Emma was thinkng about how this may go. She has never had a boyfriend before and wasn't sure how her mom was going to react. "Mom," she said interrupting her own thoughts. "Yes honey?" She said beginning to mop the floor. "Uh you know how close Benny and I are right?"
"Uh huh."
"Well... we're a thing now." Her mom stopped mopping the floor and a surprised look came on her face with a bit of a smile. "Oh, like he's your boyfriend?"
"Yup. Is that okay?"
"Yes it's fine. We trust you. When did it happen?"
"He asked me out when you guys weren't here." Technically she wasn't lying. She just wasn't telling all the truth. "Oh that's very nice! I'm happy for you, you have the right boy."
"I know." She smiled. "Can you tell dad for me? He can awkward about it sometimes."
"Sure whatever you want." She said.
It went better than Emma thought. She thought her mom was going to be awkward about it too.

"Wow Benny finally allowed himself to have a girlfriend I never thought you'd even have one." Michael laughed. "Shut up!" Benny said as their family was eating dinner. "Thats great Benny." His mom said. "Treat her right." His dad said too. "I will." He said smiling at just the thought of her.

Both of their parents handled it well. Although they were slightly surprised when they told them they knew it was going to happen eventually.

That night Emma was on skype with Kailey telling her everything that happened with in the time she wasn't there. After that she asked how River was doing Emma replied with "He thinks about you all the time." and it was true. 

That night she went to bed and heard tapping on her bed room window. She got up and saw that it was Benny. "What the hell are you doing?!" She said opening up the window. "I wanted to know how it went." He said climbing in and with the same hot smirk that got Emma every time. "You could have hurt yourself." She said pulling him into a hug. "I don't care." He said kissing her. "So how did it go?"
"Good for me. Better than I thought."
"Me too." He said. "Do you think your parents like me?" He said. "Yes they do a lot."
"Were all gonna go somewhere tomorrow." He said. "Where?"
"It's a surprise." Benny had a knack for surprising Emma. "You always do that to me."
"What surprise you?"
"Yeah you do it all the time. Even when you don't know it."
"When?!" She paused. "Well, I was kind of surprised when you liked me back." She laughed. He rolled his eyes. "Stop thinking like that. Why do you do that?" He said grabbing her hands. She shrugged. "Stop it." He said before kissing her. "Benny I love you but you better get out before one of my parents come in."
"Oh yeah."
He said almost forgetting he snuck in. "You'll find out tomorrow what we're doing." He said raising eyebrows. As much as she wanted him to stay longer she had to get him out. She watched him from her window go back into his house.
