I looked down at the pink little face."She's a blonde." Rudy smiled down at us. "Well what else was she going to be? She has my curls though." I twisted her light blonde fluff of hair.
"Oma? What is your full name? I feel awful for never asking." I looked at cheery old face.
"Katherine Olga Steiner." She smiled as she caressed my sweaty cheek.
"Do you mind having a name sake?" I held the little girl up to her.
"Liesel! I would be honored to have such a little darling bear my name." Oma took Katherine into her frail arms. I smiled at Rudy who was about to fall asleep, "Little Katherine Olga." I leaned on his shoulder and watched as Oma kissed Katherines nose repeatedly and made little kiss noises.
"She is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." Oma looked at us with tears clouding her pale blue eyes.
". . .Come on Becky." Max walked in holding up little Becky who was learning to walk. "Look at your little cousin, what's her name?" He looked up at us.
"Katherine Olga." I reached my hand out to Becky who tumbled over to my bed.
"Katty!" Becky gurgled as she reached for she pink little thing.
"There is her nickname, Becky, thank you." I shook her chubby hand.
