Oma tied the pale blue sash around my waist and looked at it carefully, to make sure it wasn't to obvious that I was putting on weight. "Oma, when did you get married?" I asked her. We never talked personally but it seemed to be a good time to start. "I was 17 and my mama wanted to get me out of the house so she would have one less mouth to feed, she wasn't the best Mama in the world." She smiled at me in her sweet Oma way. "My Mama doesn't care if I get married or not, if I'm even happy." I said to her mournfully. Oma cupped my face in her old hands, "Liesel, I will always act as your Mama, you always may tell me something."
Max gripped my arm tightly so I wouldn't slip onto the ground. I could feel my knees buckling as I grew ever nearer to Rudy. I looked into his ocean eyes and found peace. He was here and staying. My world was coming to rest and it would all be sealed with a kiss and some vows.
I have officially mourned Rudy, though I do miss him. The rest of the story will be one shots with Liesel and Rudy with there children. (Yes, plural!!!) I hope you enjoy these next few chapters before I wrap this up. Thank you to those who have stuck with me. This is my first story and it has been such an adventure!
