"So, Rebecca, all money deposited comes from the customers personal account. They must show you their ID in order to desposit from their safe." These were just some of the policies Mike the manager of Texas's national bank was explaining. He stared at his watch for quite a while, then he looked up at me. "Your shift Ms. Hawtkins starts in now. I trust you. And with that he left. It was a late Friday night and I was working the night shift. To be honest with you it was dead. No one walked in I was literally there. Alone. This old women walked in with a walker guiding her. She was trembling with every step she took. "Hello, m'am how may I assist you" I smiled and asked her. "Oh yes, Missy I would like to deposit $20 please" she stated returning the smile. "Oh, yes m'am I need to see an ID" I spoke as I turned aroung towards the computer. I noticed that the lady never responded. As I turned to face her again she was on the floor. I panicked anxiously, reaching for the phone to dial 911. At that moment a man dressed in black with a black ski mask had me by the throat. "Don't you even think about" he yelled. Then I heard another voice say "Boys where is the safe?". I looked around there were 3 other guys. All dressed the same too. The man who had me by the neck released me as I fell to the floor. I tried to gasp and take in my breathes. "You little shit, stay down" the man spoke. "Hey man the safe is over here" one of his tanner looking partner shouted. The man who was once choking me ran up to another partner he had. "You watch that piece of shit for me while I go break the safe". His partner agreed and walked over to me. My legs were shaking, I would be lying if I said I wasn't terrified. One of the men had a gun. I felt helpless at that point. The man slowly walked towards me. He looked almost suprised when he saw me. But I was even more suprised when he reached out for my hand, helping me get up. At that moment everything froze. It felt as if the world stopped moving. On the right arm of the man he wore a bracelet of the initials MM on them.
