Ayup, gesu....

You and satori coincidentally went to the same elementary, junior, and high school together. Meaning, that you guys became close and always went everywhere and did everything together.
Not that you'd complain, he was always great company.
And, you both had many interests in the same things which meant you two clicked just like that.
But did they?
You gripped the strap of your bag a little tighter. "Nee, Satori, what university are you going to go to?" You looked over at said male.
You two had a strong bond, an 'unbreakable' bond, if you will. You went everywhere and did everything together, ever since being little kids. So hearing his answer kinda hit you more than you thought.
The redhead chewed at his bottom lip, averting his gaze from your face. He'd been trying his best to avoid this question ever since he'd sent his application form off. It hurt him to speak about it as much as it hurt you from just hearing his response. He didn't know who was hurt more. His usual smile faded into a frown.
'Why did he stop walking?'
You stopped a few steps ahead of the boy, turning your head around to meet his reddish orbs. He figured that he might as well come out with it, since he couldn't keep it from his childhood friend forever.
He clenched his fists and his eyebrows furrowed.
"I'm.... I'm going to a university in Tokyo."
You clenched your teeth, 'Tokyo?'
~
"We hope to see you again soon!" You beamed, waving at the customer that was just about to leave. The door swung open and closed with a soft 'click'.
The room was silent now, just you, your surroundings, and the sounds of the cars that drove passed occasionally.
You never really took in your surroundings as you worked, but as you had the time, you felt the aura of this place give off a very noticeable homely vibe. The floor was made of wood, along with the chairs and tables, and so were the frames hung up around the shop. You'd never really thought to look at them probably, but they all seemed relatively norm–
"Hey, isn't that the Shiratorizawa Volleyball Club? From around... a few years ago?"
You asked no one in particular, brushing a
(h/l), (h/c) lock of hair behind your ear. You looked around quickly, before carefully taking the frame off of the wall and examining the photo up close. You carefully ran two or three fingers over the glass protecting the photo, tutting when you realised it was dusty and quickly wiped your hand on your apron. You blew on it gently, wiping off the remaining dust with your sleeve.
You took a deep breath and looked at the photo once more. It took you by surprise that this photo was even strung up here anyway, let alone remembering everyone's names.
And then came a certain redhaired boy.
"Satori..." You hummed quietly to yourself, letting all of your junior high and high school memories with him flood back to you.
"(Last Name)-san! Your shift is over! You can leave now!" One of the workers , (friends name), yelled over to you. You snapped out of your daze and gave them a nod, sending them on their way.
It was just you, and your thoughts, once again.
Oh, and the photo.
A small smile tugged at your lips as you ran your thumb over the delicate wooden frame. Chuckling softly, you placed the photo back where you found it, and started taking your apron off as you walked towards the room behind the ordering bar. "Jeez, talk about a blast from the past."
You gripped tightly onto the strap of your (handbag/backpack/messenger bag) as you made your way home.
"I hope that dork is doing alright..."
You stood still for a while, looking up at the sky. You chuckled quietly "What a coincidence for that to be there, eh?" You continued to chuckle to yourself once more before stopping, coming to a stand still and letting your usually happy expression turn into a frown.
"He probably doesn't even remember me.." Tears threatened to pour but you stopped them. You bit your now trembling bottom lip and looked up at the setting sun once more. The events of today and earlier memories of high school repeated in your mind, Over and over again.
"Farewell, My Paradise."
You sighed, continuing on your journey home.
~
The door chimed, indicating someone had entered.
"Welcome!" You exclaimed in your normally chirpy voice. You got your little notepad and pen and dawdled over to the table which the two males sat at.
"What can i get you two to– Kenjiro-kun? Eita-kun?" You blinked in disbelief as the two stood up. You hugged them and looked around. "How did you find out about this place?"
You asked confused, blinking owlishly."Well," The younger of the two spoke up.
"We just happened to wander in here," Semi chimed in. "But we wouldn't have known about this place without a certain redheaded 'guess-monster' telling us about it." He smirked as you received a tap on the shoulder.
Your eyes widened in surprise as you slowly turned around to see a certain redhaired male grinning at your slightly smaller figure. Tears stung your eyes but you didn't hesitate to let them out. You dropped your pen and your notebook and grinned "SATORI!!!" You yelled throughout the small cafe, gaining stared as you tackled the lanky boy to the ground, keeping your arms tightly around him as if you planned to never let go. Your sobs and cries filled the room as the word 'satori' passed your lips every second.
Tendou hugged back just as tightly, letting tears slip from his eyes as well. After you both calmed down, you both stared at each other for a while before laughing loudly.
Catching up with each other was something you had wanted to do with Satori for a while now, and you were glad you got the opportunity to do so. You both exchanged numbers and laughed and even brought up past memories, which is always a fun thing. Heck, you even asked him to stay over, which of course he said yes to.
But sadly, all good days have to come to an end, and we have to go back to our normal, monotone lives don't we?
~
"Nee, (First Name)-chan. Guess what?"
Tendou poked you excitedly. He suddenly snaked his arm around your shoulders, holding out a pair of keys and spinning them around. "Saaaaay..."You chuckled.
"Yeeeeess?" You copied, grinning and moving your gaze to the keys in Satori's hand.
"Want..Want to move in with me?"
"Of...OF COURSE I WANT TO!"
Would you look at that, they always did go everywhere and do everything together in the end.
