Iwaizumi Hajime x reader

A/N: HEY GUYS!  I'm back and feeling a lot better so my updates will continue regularly! I'm currently working on my 1K special so that will come out in the next week or so. And speaking of 1K special; thank you for 1K guys! I never thought we'd get this far – 'we' meaning all of you lovely people! I wouldn't have been able to do it without you guys! So I hope you guys enjoy this part (I'm a bit crusty because I haven't posted anything on here in a long time (a long time being like a week lmao) so there may be a few errors here and there)! See ya~!

You and Iwaizumi are as close as two people could get; always spending time together whenever you can and always being able to talk to him freely without debating about it first (and vice versa). Today was another day, and you guys had decided to go to the park again, as usual.

Hajimoo:

We're meeting at the park again today.

(Y/n) (insert some dank nickname here):

Oh ok.

Yep, that's basically how most of your conversations went. You guys didn't even need to say when to meet – you both knew the exact time to meet because you have so many times before. You walk down your street in your (f/c) shoes, (fav) leggings and your (fav) shirt. You looked pretty cool, if you were to say so yourself.

As you approach the park, you see Iwaizumi sitting down on one of the swings. "Haji-kun!" You shout from across the street, catching a few glances and weird looks here and there. "(Y/N)-chan!" You get a response. You run into the park as you see Hajime there grinning, like a mad man. Your run soon slows to a walk. "Damn, don't grin at me like that, it's...really creepy," You let out a quick giggle. "Oh, shush. I've missed you a lot, okay?" "It's been like, 12 hours since I've last seen you," he pouts, looking away.

No one else but you knew this but, he could be really childish if he'd choose to. "But...I guess there's a reason that I agreed to come out today,"

"Oh? What is it?" He asks, slightly intrigued.
"A reason," you respond.
"Well, I came out here for a reason, too,"
"Oh? Why?"
"A reason,"
"Damnit, Hajime!"

You guys make it into the coffee (I cba typing that so Ye) shop, both ordering a hot chocolate and deciding to walk around with them. Since you guys haven't had the chance to talk about anything that's been going on, you both thought that this would be a great time to do just that. Until, that is, a certain brunette had to show up.

"Iwa-chan!" You both here from a distance. "I had no clue you were here!" Oikawa ran up to Iwaizumi, completely ignoring you and standing next to him – where you were stood. You sigh to yourself and stand on the other side of your best friend, only being able to listen in on their conversation. Well, you tried but would always get interrupted by the brown-haired setter. Oh joy.

As of now it had been at least 3 hours since he arrived and interrupted and ruined your day out with Hajime. Oikawa had given you a few glances of disgust, which led you to remember your oh so lovely conversation you had with the same boy, earlier this week.

FLASHBACK

You were wondering through the halls one day, minding your own business. Your friend wasn't in that day, so you decided that you were going to join a club.
Step.
The halls were silent as of a second ago, so this freaked you out a little. You walked slightly faster, trying to avoid anyone and everyone you didn't know that possibly could've been behind you.

Step. Step.

Those stippy-steps. STOP STIP-STEPPING ALL OVER THE PLACE! You thought in your mind almost instantly, making you hold in your laughter.

Step. Step.Step. Step.Step.

Okay, now the steps were getting closer and it was starting to freak you out. You turn around to see that no one's there, all that's there is just two shadows. Yours, an- wait, "Two?"

"That's right, Chibi-chan, I'm here too~" you step back, instantly recognising that voice. You turn around to see Oikawa standing directly infront of you.

You two have never been on good terms, as you can tell. But, there was nothing funny about what was going to happen next.

Oikawa charges at you, full force, with a knife in hand?! Luckily, you dodge just in time but end up stumbling backwards - as you're completely shocked at this point. Was that a knife?! You think, thoughts racing in your mind. You regain your balance too see your once perfectly normal school ribbon, on the cold hard floor. 'He got THAT CLOSE? I was one second away from death! '

As the brunette goes to stab you again you begin to make your escape, knocking into a few of the walls and speeding round every corner. You make it to the back of the school and end up hiding behind the incinerator.

Step, step.

Okay, hiding behind the incinerator was a bad idea. You look behind you, no ones there.. You shake your head.

Step.

'Someone's there...' You shake your head again, believing that it was your mind playing tricks on you. No ones–

"Is somebody there?" You hear a sickly sweet voice sing from behind you. You knew exactly who it was. You sigh, "okay, all I have to do is get the knife and throw it into the incinerator, but – one mistake, and this may go bad."

You count to three and stand up, being fully exposed to the brunette currently trying to kill you.

"Finally, you decide to show yourse–"
"You know what? I've had enough of all of this crap that you're making me go through. 'Don't go near iwa-chan anymore' yeah, as if I'm going to do that. The guy is my best friend, and nothing is going to change that. Not even you. I'm not someone that will get scared by a few 'threatening' words. I can and will do whatever I want, and nothing is going to stop me from doing that."

You stare at the now enraged Oikawa as he walks over to you. He completely towers over you, readying his knife and goes to stab you with force. Luckily you dodge in time and run behind him, quickly kicking him in the back and yanking the knife out of the wall. You quickly throw it into the incinerator and start it, taking off. You run back to grab your bag from where you were first attacked, and let your legs go as fast as they could carry you out of the school. Man, who knew Oikawa was–

END OF FLASHBACK

–"Bye Iwa-Chan!... Chibi-chan." The tone of his voice made a shiver go down your spine. "Oikawa-San." You say with the same cold expression and tone. "Oh? I didn't know you two knew each other–"

"We don't."

"Oh." You two sat there in silence. You decided that you were going to tell him today, to get it over and done with.

Five minutes had gone by and you two still sat there (the swings) in silence. Damnit, you had to break the silence. It was killing you; not to mention it was an awkward silence, too.

"Will you be my girlfriend/boyfriend?" You both asked each other at the same time. Hajime stared at you, eyes widened slightly, as you did the same. You nod your head violently up and down as you two hug each other tightly.

You both stand up, fingers interlaced with each other's as you look at each other.
"Hajime."
"(Y/n)."
You both walk out of the park hand in hand.

"How dare you. You shouldn't have done that, Chibi-Chan."
